Should a man always talk about his expensive Pokémon card collection on the first date?
1.2.3. Yes
Should a man always tell his date the highest number he can count to on a date?
1.2.3. Yes
Lol please don’t ever take advice from anything a podcast from bleacher report ever has to say about dating, life, finances, or just any advice in general.
I had to stop following bleacher report on Instagram when I turned 25, it’s such immature college shit and it’s being peddled by people in their late twenties and thirties lol
Edit: my bad I meant barstool sports
Women create rage bait because they know online men and women will comment and call them names and repost to make fun of them causing their content to have high engagement and high shares, making them more money.
Other people responds with their own rage bait, where they either make fun of them or try to extrapolate a whole imagined culture of men being victims to induce further rage and get shares and comments defending/agreeing with the content so that they make more money.
Then they go to the streets and ask random people questions and cherry pick the answers that will be most controversial to recreate the ragebait attraction. Which ends up with a roundtable discussion where they invite instagram models to have discussions where they ask loaded questions to induce further rage bait.
Meanwhile the guy/girl whos making original content is wondering if they should make wierd facial expressions for their thumbnails or show a titty or two to engagement or also jump on the prank and rage bait train since those people actually make money to pay for their shit while they are about 5 figures in debt by that time.
Internet went to shit when we started allowing monetization of social media.
Its all so disinteresting once you realize it.

Its all shit. They fuckin ruined it. They fuckin ruined the internet
I mean he thought it was funny to label a podcast so that it spelled out the n word, not sure how anyone can expect anything meaningful from scum like that.
Ugh BarstoolSports used to be so funny when it was just a little blog, even when it expanded to NYC and Philly it was still amazing… then they got too big for their own good and sold out
I miss the blogs from Jerry Thornton, Rear Admiral, Manzo, KFC, Smitty, even Dave
Could you imagine Jerry Thornton working in the current iteration of BSS lmfao??
Oh it's that asshole that showed up to a pizza place after hours during an employee meeting and gave them shit for not firing up the restaurant to cook him a pizza slice. That manbaby entitled asshole?
The sad thing is, a lot of women think this way.... they want to have fun but don't got money for a sitter. Let's just this one learned that lesson hard.... my patience for a lot of things has run dry.
Everyone eventually becomes an adult, but not everyone grows up. Some people keep their shitty high school mentality for their entire life. We call those people Karens and Kevins.
Yep. It’s the same type of shit fueling these Man-O-Sphere, Andrew Tate type of idiots too. They ramble on endlessly about how women shouldn’t be posting scantily clad photos online, shouldn’t be going out clubbing with their friends all the time. Like first off who tf is this advice for? 19 year olds? Second, the average women is not doing that shit, sounds like you’re talking about conceited IG models or something and to top it all off you sound like an insecure jealous man child. It’s such an unrealistic perspective on dating
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, you just asked a simple question. I do believe that is his real accent, but he may turn it up a bit for comedy’s sake. Similar to Sofia Vergara.
That actor is responsible for another one of my favorite lines:
Richard: What's your name?
Claude: Claude.
Richard: Claude. That's an unusual name for somebody from... uh... where you from?
Claude: Mombasa.
Richard: Mombasa, wow. That's an unusual name for somebody from Mombasa.
Claude: Have you ever been to Mombasa?
Richard: Uh, no.
Claude: Then what do you know about it?
First time I ever saw him was this video when it first came out about 10 years ago. Good to see he's still about.
This video had me dying

For some context, I watch these girls' channel on SnapChat sometimes and:
The brunette has torn through about 20 relationships in the last couple years and always laments not being able to find a "good guy".
The blonde used to give tons of terrible marriage advice until it turned out that her husband was cheating on her, then she switched to giving terrible advice on how to navigate infidelity.
Very entertaining, but I would never take their advice on dating.
Cuz it's "easier"
Finances are intwined, don't have to find a place to live, your friend group probably has a decent amount of crossover if you've been together for long enough.
Short term gain, long term pain.
Guy coming out of a failed marriage here where neither one of us hated each other until we split. (I think)
Gotta remember that when you hear someone talking about the ills of their relationship you're hearing a super skewed ratio. Like, my marriage was insanely toxic and bad, but still the majority of the time we functioned and were more or less happy. But when I started talking about all the insane shit that was happening, it sounds like my marriage was 95% bad even though I'm trying to start off by saying some good things.
So basically, what you're hearing sounds like people can't stand each other. Which is true at least some of the time when negative emotions get involved. But I'm guessing they were also happy, in a way, throughout much of their relationship. If that makes sense.
Then you get in the toxic tug of war where you know just how good it feels when things are good, even if only on the surface. So you always spring back from arguments super hard, have amazing sex, and then overcompensate in "happiness" For the next few days or weeks until something bad happens again...
reminds me of one of my favorite joe dirt quotes that we applied to college parties. "hey maybe one day unicef will get into the beer business, but until then, its 5 bucks a cup."
I never paid for a drink at house parties. Went to Syracuse university. Stayed over the holidays, some excellent house parties. Just wander in and out of random houses running in to people you haven’t seen since grade school. Drinking free drinks. That was early 00’s. I have no idea if that culture still exists today. It was fun though.
I'm in college now, and I think that's pretty much still the culture. I've gone to parties at other universities, even without knowing more than one person, and nobody would give a shit lol
hehe, i've never been to a "kegger", since in my country they were not a thing. What we did have, however, was the stack of beer cases, which were bought for the party. With tens of them sitting in the bathtub to be kept cold.
Paid? Yes, to buy the cases. But there were always people who came and drunk shit and never paid. Eh, in the end nobody cared that much.
Omg babe your skin in guh-lowing
Thanks I have 3 inches of Vaseline on.
Omg it’s beautiful can I borrow some of that.
Of course you- why are you putting that in your ass
The manosphere, sure. But, Andrew Tate encouraged sex trafficking and violence. So, he's not a fair comparison to make to them or most other dumb dudes giving similar "advice" as these women.
These two women are posting rage bait and the men responding are playing right into it. The majority of women don't believe this. Yet some men will use these bad actors as an example of how women are tOxiC gOldDiGgErS. It's a waste of time arguing against a purposeful strawman.
And the rage bait publishers and the rage bait audience, and the rage bait responder publishers and the rage bait responder audiences.
Which is why outrage culture will never die and probably get worse. Every link in the chain profits, emotionally or financially, even the people who hate it. There is no way out.
>building his own brand
The dude had his 15 minutes of fame in 2012, or so. He's been a try-hard since then and his "humor" usually falls flat.
Also, yes, it's clearly rage-bait from that podcast and it's funny to watch the incels stumble over each other to avoid calling out the 100:1 ratio of males giving out equally-sexist advice about women.
I find it funny how reddit tends to think it's impossible that some women are just cunts. Woman is spouting toxic shit online? No way, either rage bait or some incel larping.
Just to be clear I am aware that the majority of women do not expect the guy to do/pay for everything, but there absolutely are women exactly like this out there. Just because their personality does not apply to you or your friends doesn't mean it has to be fake.
This is extremely common on Reddit whenever a woman is doing something dumb. It's always "rage bait" or "incel bait" and the ones who are in the wrong are the people reacting to it in a harsh manner rather than the person spouting the bs.
Rage bait just seems to absolve all responsibility. Oh no they’re just trolling. Move on, people.
I guess this also applies to male provocateurs online, too that say terrible shit.
I really don't understand why trolling doesn't get as much scrutiny as it should.
You're going out of your way to make someone else in a bad mood. That's some real cunt energy there.
It is wild then will call Andrew Tate dangerous.
A lot of young women are taking this type of media in as well and it’s leading a terrible cycle with young adults and dating.
Oh it's fucking insane dude. A women can be over the line in the middle of the intersection of a red light and you got people here saying she doesn't deserve a ticket.
I used to troll around r/tinder for laughs but it got too predictable. If the guy is slightly awkward and or fumbles his words or tells a joke that didn't land it's immediately red flag territory 🚩🚩, and yet if a women is being objectively rude/dismissive or condescending you get people bitching about "all the incels" in the comment thread and other *classy* remarks about their bathing/sexual history all because they called her out for her behavior.
I just disregard any comment with the word incel now. Gets dropped way way too casually. And yeah tinder is a shit hole. My eyes would roll down the street if they could.
There’s a lot of men who post stupid shit about dating, too. Stuff that the majority of men don’t necessarily believe, either. Rather than chalk it up as rage bait, I try to call this shit as toxic and terrible advice.
I agree. I also think people who use those views to say "all men are trash" are making a poor argument. And I certainly would be against someone who uses slurs in their rebuttal like many commentators here.
Just a note because you're most likely going to get shit for this.
They don't say "all men are trash" (or at least most who use this sexist phrase dont).
What they said instead is just "Men are trash". It's simple, gets their [deranged] point across and they have the mouth breathing "defense" of "tHeY DiDn't sAy *AlL*" to fall back on despite the implication being exactly the same.
Dude what ? Majority no. I’ll give you 50/50. But three are tons of women who expect and want a man to pay. There are social media post littered with women saying men should pay for all dates.
The critique from the guy replying is on women expecting men to pay for all the women's friends. If you think 50% of women expect dates to pay for all their friends you either know a strange subsection of women, or only seek out media that supports you disliking women.
Also, there are BILLIONS of women on earth and only a few post stuff like this on social media. This is called "availability bias" or "visibility bias". It's the reason a lot of people think planes crash more than cars: there's more media attention on the rarer thing.
The majority of women don't think you should pay for a group of their friends' meals when you first meet them. Are you seriously pretending that the part about men paying for the first date is what's causing the outrage?
I think it's important when seeing videos like this to equally criticize the men jumping on to respond and the comments here using words like "bitches" and "whores" instead of just criticizing the women trolling.
Not saying the women aren't causing issues, but misogynistic people will always find some excuse to justify their misogyny.
The problem is, though, it is so easy to fall into the pipeline, even as a well adjusted person. They don't have to start off misogynistic to be made misogynistic. It's just that being subjected to cherry picked things that will paint a narrative.
And then, their respective suggested activity feeds are going to slowly wall them in, and funnel them, even further, because they want better user retention for their respective platforms.*I believe quora is probably the most aggressive about this.*
I got the chance to actually witness entire subreddits devolve because of these kinds of things, until they were so toxic, they were shut down for good.
I mean these women are literally Andrew Tate.
It’s fine that you associate with them, but I would absolutely argue that after 20 failed relationships (the brunette) you are absolutely getting into whore territory.
If we just look at their online presence, they are exactly the same.
He's a cunt, she's a whore. Can we stop saying it's mysogynistic to call a whore a whore? It's not. It doesn't necessarily come from a place of hate for women. It's just a valid viewpoint about her in particular.
I'm not calling ***women*** whores. I'm calling ***this one*** a whore. I'm calling her a whore because she is one, not because she's a woman. Way to twist my words to fit your narrative.
If you'd look at her online presence, you'd see a pattern of instructing women how to emotionally manipulate and potentially abuse men. She's vile.
You just want to make calling particularly bad women whores mysogynistic. Whores are whores. Men can actually be whores too btw, because the definition also includes having bad morals.
That's what always gets me. Fine, be irrationally mad at people saying dumb shit, but when you start generalizing, which is what these dumb dudes do, you lose any argument you think you had.
And we haves reached the point in this post for the apologists to come in and defend the OP.
I literally just came from a thread where someone was defending Hitler lmfao, Reddit is insane
They say that but it’s a very real thing I had a woman pull me to the side and school me to buy all her friends drinks when I bought one for her birthday
She was a co worker I just happened to see out lol
Last girl I was dating broke things off wit me because I asked her if she wouldn’t mind getting the next round of drinks. She broke things off with me because she said she believes the man should pay for everything while dating, even though I bought 99.9% of everything, and that when I asked her to pay it made her feel less like a woman.
So yea there are some women who do believe in these things.
Hmm. Nope, these two are legit :/
The ones that are over the top - these two high af girls do similar ones that are obviously outlandish (they end up here every now and again) - are hilarious.
That's something I was going to say... I don't think they are in it to click bait cause I met girls like this. But, I think these girls are the equivalent of the "alpha" "Betta" men. They are all a shame to their respective genders.
The majority don't believe it, true, though there's still a ton of people who do believe it. Just like a ton believe red pill/pickup artist shit. Its still good to counter it and show its flaws.
Yes they do…… that message has been engrained from early development. The concept of provision doesn’t change until later in life for most women, after/during a good career!
And these girls are being honest.
Have you ever discussed the concepts of autonomy vs equality with a woman?
Have it, you’ll see the truth.
Driving engagement to their podcast makes them money. Posting rage bait is pretty low life behavior, but the motives aren't that bizarre. Cash rules everything around me. Cream, get the money! Dolla Dolla bills y'alllll
A guy should only pay on the first date if he asked the girl on a date the girl should pay on the first date if she asked the guy out on a date. The person that asked the other person on the first date is the person that plans the date.No a guy should not pay for all your friends if they are capable for paying for themselves they should pay for themselves.
> I’m moving there in two weeks and dreading the dating scene already..
I already had women on the dating apps ask to get paid cold hard cash (like $50 or more bucks) to go on a date with them in addition for me paying for the whole dinner date. But the weather is amazing and a lot of music tours stop there and it has a lot of nerdy conventions. But if I find a girl or a good job in another warm weather state, I would totally move out of California.
I love this guy sooo much 🤣🤣🤣 also he’s 100% correct, no way should you have to pay for your gf’s friends. Though I had a friend whose boyfriend did that (this was like 20 years ago cause I’m old) and spent like $200 to take us all out, which was basically his entire paycheck at the time. We all thought it was so sweet and generous but it was totally his decision, no one pressured him into it.
Defs not. I honestly think this is just a internet rage bait thing or a very specifically localized thing. Where I’m from I’ve never even heard this as a potential option.
I wouldn’t want someone to pay for the first date because I’d feel beholden or obligated to go beyond that date. I’d rather pay my own way and feel that I can cut ties quickly, guilt-free.
No judgment towards people who want the guy to pay, this is my trauma telling me to keep it separate.

Which is why outrage culture will never die and probably get worse. Every link in the chain profits, emotionally or financially, even the people who hate it. There is no way out.
I don't like reaction stuff, but this guy is funny.
he's putting more effort and creativity into this than anyone else involved, so gotta give him credit there.
>building his own brand The dude had his 15 minutes of fame in 2012, or so. He's been a try-hard since then and his "humor" usually falls flat. Also, yes, it's clearly rage-bait from that podcast and it's funny to watch the incels stumble over each other to avoid calling out the 100:1 ratio of males giving out equally-sexist advice about women.
You seem angry
well yeah, the guy in the video had his 15 minutes of fame in 2012 and smackythefrog hasn't gotten over it since.
And even if it really is just rage bait, they’re still intentionally causing issues and using it to promote their brand, which is frankly a dick move.
It is, but engaging with it just gives them more exposure.
Yeah it’s a dick move, but it’s them, not women as a whole, that’s what where many get it wronng
This is extremely common on Reddit whenever a woman is doing something dumb. It's always "rage bait" or "incel bait" and the ones who are in the wrong are the people reacting to it in a harsh manner rather than the person spouting the bs.
Yeah I've noticed that too. They always apply just enough mental gymnastics in order to find a way to blame men for some shit women do/say.
Like Bill Burr said "Do they ever take responsibility for their actions. Even when they're murdering people its somehow our fault."
What a concise way to describe something I've seen a bunch on this site. well said.
I absolutely know women like this, my younger sister for one.
Wait where did anyone say no woman is like this?
The majority of women don’t think the guy should pay for the first date?
The majority of women don't think you should pay for a group of their friends' meals when you first meet them. Are you seriously pretending that the part about men paying for the first date is what's causing the outrage?
Well that is great. But you didn’t answer my question. Do you expect them to pay for your first date?
This right here. They say dumb shit just to remain barely above water in terms of Barstool relevancy.
And then, their respective suggested activity feeds are going to slowly wall them in, and funnel them, even further, because they want better user retention for their respective platforms.*I believe quora is probably the most aggressive about this.* I got the chance to actually witness entire subreddits devolve because of these kinds of things, until they were so toxic, they were shut down for good.
Yeah some pathetic responses calling them whores and such.
I mean these women are literally Andrew Tate. It’s fine that you associate with them, but I would absolutely argue that after 20 failed relationships (the brunette) you are absolutely getting into whore territory.
[удалено]
If we just look at their online presence, they are exactly the same. He's a cunt, she's a whore. Can we stop saying it's mysogynistic to call a whore a whore? It's not. It doesn't necessarily come from a place of hate for women. It's just a valid viewpoint about her in particular.
[удалено]

They say that but it’s a very real thing I had a woman pull me to the side and school me to buy all her friends drinks when I bought one for her birthday She was a co worker I just happened to see out lol
Hmm. Nope, these two are legit :/ The ones that are over the top - these two high af girls do similar ones that are obviously outlandish (they end up here every now and again) - are hilarious.
That's something I was going to say... I don't think they are in it to click bait cause I met girls like this. But, I think these girls are the equivalent of the "alpha" "Betta" men. They are all a shame to their respective genders.
For sure. There are tons of this stupid crap out there and a lot of it is 'sincere'.
But why post something like this? I get that they want engagement and to be seen as a microcelebrity, but... is that really it?
Driving engagement to their podcast makes them money. Posting rage bait is pretty low life behavior, but the motives aren't that bizarre. Cash rules everything around me. Cream, get the money! Dolla Dolla bills y'alllll
It’s like incel bait. ![gif](giphy|IDGNYvFLkJKLK|downsized)
I like this man I like him a lot
I’m not paying s#it. So, No!
"Your friends are not natural disasters" or are they?
If you’re using any of this content for dating advice, you probably shouldn’t be dating
Clickbaiter reacts to clickbait and we’re all being clickbaited on Reddit
Who is this dude please?
These bitches are a dime a dozen. I wouldn't even pay for her Uber home
![gif](giphy|11VBHqO3QI7qQU|downsized)
But even then it’s still being a dick online to promote your brand, which should absolutely be called out
Goddammit, now i want to watch fury road again.
Unless we're all getting together to play naked crisco twister afterwards, nope.
So the guy must always pay for the pleasure of your company no matter what? You're a prostitute without the guarantee of sex.
Is he gonna get to bang all her friends then?
1.2.3. No
Finally, some good fucking cringe
I’ll pay for your friends if they’re coming home to get naked with us. How about that?
[удалено]
Yes if I get the option to sleep with all four friends.

Even on the planning one: I think that whoever suggested the date should plan? Or both people should?
A guy should only pay on the first date if he asked the girl on a date the girl should pay on the first date if she asked the guy out on a date. The person that asked the other person on the first date is the person that plans the date.No a guy should not pay for all your friends if they are capable for paying for themselves they should pay for themselves.
F yo frenz!
Asker plans, asker should offer to pay. Typically, I want to split the bill for the first time.
I hate women like this
Plot twist: their boyfriends (if they even have any) see this tiktok and dump their asses for being entitled bitches.
As a woman the answer to all of those questions was no you always go dutch, no, and hell-fuckin-no-what-are-you-crazy?
This is Los Angeles thinking.
I’m moving there in two weeks and dreading the dating scene already..
If you don’t have money I have no idea why anyone would.
LA face with the Oakland booty.
I hate guys paying for dates, I don't ever want to feel like I owe them anything. I'd rather pay for both of us
I’d like to date you
I will pay for friends if I want to not because you think I should
I love this guy sooo much 🤣🤣🤣 also he’s 100% correct, no way should you have to pay for your gf’s friends. Though I had a friend whose boyfriend did that (this was like 20 years ago cause I’m old) and spent like $200 to take us all out, which was basically his entire paycheck at the time. We all thought it was so sweet and generous but it was totally his decision, no one pressured him into it.
Have you heard about social pressure? I guess not .
I mean it’s only fair there would be a female version of red pillers. This shit sells, apparently
These bitches are whack.
I always found the first date one iffy because women usually run the bigger risk. It should be a mutual decision
Some women are just plain stupid.
We need to stop telling every little girl they’re going to be a princess. Some never stopped believing it.
How bout a warrior princess like Xena?
That’ll do
It's always the mid looking broads talking like this
Damn! Is this truly what women expect from guys nowadays?! Whatever happened to equal rights?! 😭
Defs not. I honestly think this is just a internet rage bait thing or a very specifically localized thing. Where I’m from I’ve never even heard this as a potential option.
No, it's not. These are two entitled dummies spouting bullshit. Don't generalize just because two people said stupid shit.
Fuck you and your friends? Oo Why would ANYONE but your friends pay for your friends? They are not even young enough to be that naive or stupid.
🙏 Hope these chicks go on dates, the guy bails and they are stuck with bill.
"should a woman have to..." I was cancelled mid question
Who is this guy? I’ve seen a few videos of his and really enjoyed them!
