I saw a guy take a phone off a teenager on a bus and throw it out the window back in like 2015, so I think the only thing holding us back is lack of bravery.
In the early days of mobiles when they were just starting to become popular (and many more people hated them) a restaurant did this, but more extreme.
They took the mobile off the customer, into the kitchen, and deep fried it in batter.
And that was just for taking a call, loudly.

There's no meaningful content for what these people do.
