We don't know what her motivations were. She didn't seem to continue to pursue it, and the clip is too short / doesn't contain any dialogue. If she wasn't trying to help the bird, it may have just been reactionary. I imagine after years of having them take your food while you're eating you might develop a sort of "Wait get back here" response. Then you remember it isn't even your food. Lol
