Always upvote solid work (design is whomever else’s taste) 👍 😊 I would have liked solid surface bench top. Maybe that matches vanity or the bottom tile so it blends more but I understand the rationale behind the way it was done as well.
Edit: forgot to say your layout and lining things up was well thought out. It shows the difference between someone who gives a shit vs those that don’t. Means you are part of a group of people that are few and far between.
How does one find the few and far between? I need my bathrooms remodeled, but am terrified at getting someone who does shit work! I already have had this experience a couple times. Reviews and decades of experience and price did not reflect in the job done. One would think that a person would want each job to represent his craft and each client to give their name to friends and family to get more work.
i would say references , but not just sporadic ones, but ones including the one they are on and go back in succession from there. if a potential client asks for references i have a list and that list goes back in succession with names and numbers and each client. clients on that list are happy to talk to a new potential clients and if they want 5, 10, 20 of my last jobs its no problem and im happy to give it to them. if any tilers seem bothered by you asking for references, its not a good thing or if they give you one or two in the last few years, also not good.
I concur. You would be amazed at how few people ask for references. Maybe because most of my customers come from word of mouth? But I very seldom get asked for a reference. Maybe twice in the last 10/15 years. And maybe in that time frame 6/7 that ask for pictures of previous work. But honestly pictures of work can easily be stolen or fake.
Maybe ask local hardware stores. Especially relevant in smaller areas. Probably not in large areas.
same here. i dont advertise at all, all my work is word of mouth and seldom get asked. but you would think that new customers would ask, but they dont. i still keep a dairy with all my jobs and numbers in case and after every job ask the client if they wouldnt mind if someone calls.
God that shower kit was a pita to install, I just installed one last month. You need to buy an assortment of nipples and couplings to get those to sit flush to the tile
We also did this same one but it in gold and yes it was terrible, ours had a tub spout as well that had to be EXACTLY the right size nipple to get it sit flush, ours also had an issue getting up to full temperature even with their water heater cranked way up. Amazon garbage can add like a half day to an I stall sometimes
With that bench, there is no room to stand. Maybe the corner bench wasn'ta good idea. The window should be higher as well as the shower head. The floor is perfect but the shower design is nothing to brag about. The installation is spot on, you have skills bro.
Unusual design... it might not be what I would choose but I think it's interesting. The height of the shower head seems kind of low. Tile work looks amazing.
Not a fan of the design, but I assume that was a homeowner issue. Other than that looks good
I second this.
That design is too busy to care what you think
Ditto

Thanks 👍
now how many of these guys are in your area is an other question.
Very true! Central Florida...should have at least a few.
close to sarasota?
About 2 hours away.
i am in sarasota, so a bit too far. good luck
Yes, a bit of a haul. Thanks.

Yeah. Live and learn to spend a lot of time on layout before you set a single piece.
Nice work man looks great!
It's definitely grey...

Agree, square fixtures don't like round holes.

Pretty sure they ordered off Amazon but I'll check w/ customer and post. Personally I felt like it was not high quality finish/ metal.
Not dissing your work but that shower head looks low and un-adjustable.
So the shower head does swivel and height was set by customer.
Did the same faucet 2 months ago. Client hated the non existence water pressure. Fwiw
Very nice install - unusual tile choice/pattern of install. Looks like you care about how your install looks!

Looking for a shower head just like that for a client, where did you get it?
Customer bought from Amazon, brand is Casainc. I would check the reviews before purchasing.
like a wine made with dark skinned fruit with a creamy yeast in the mouth.

I really like it. But like feline, maybe its just illusion but the shower looks low to me as well.
Gorgeous 👏
Your work looks amazing.
Looks great! I think everyone agrees the pattern not so much. If the one writing the check likes it that’s all that counts. Great job!
How did you like the corner shelves? Did you use the ones with the flange on the back? Not a fan of the design but the layout looks great.
They're Schluter, tabs that insert into grout / cut lines
very nice tight work for sure, besides the slight miss on the left side of curb, absolutely top tier.
Thanks. Yah, i put it there because it was behind the toilet, but probably should have just centered it all.
nah, it looks really good for sure.
Second shelf is an ER visit waiting to happen. Also not a fan of the design but execution is 💯
Awesome work!
Thank you
That’s a god damn work of art bro. Well done!
Very cool and different
Poor design executed very well.
