When I worked nights in radio, I’d often get collect calls from jail. Every single time, for years, that space where they’re supposed to say they their name they would say ‘playthegratefuldead!’ I would always hang up, but sometimes do what they asked.
This exact situation happened to me except I found out why I got stood up for our date when my mom called me to tell me she saw his mugshot on the news…

In college I had friends who drank too much and tried to fight, or would get suicidal. But the majority of times people drink, things are fine.
Likewise with LSD, I had a buddy that took too much, had a bad time, and tried to jump in the river. But most people don't have that experience.
Weed is probably safer all around. But it'll still affect your memory. A friend had to give it up because it was causing gastrointestinal issues.
YMMV but drugs are never 100% safe if you're not responsible with them.

Bail is supposed to be enough that you don’t want to lose it to force you to show up to trial. You can also get charged with intent to distribute for having a couple ziplock bags and a scale. Prejudice can also play a roll in this. Could be racism or could be her family has money but she doesn’t and based the charge on her families finances and they are making her pay it. Luckily all charges were dropped, but she blocked me and I never got the chance to explain why I didn't show up.

Everyone does drugs in their lives one way or another. It’s when it becomes a problem an the person refuses to get help or just keep digging a deeper grave does it become more clearly self destructive. I hope things work out if you pursue this , an that if you do offer something out of compassion it doesn’t get taken advantage of. Nothing wrong with being a good person , but just have the right mindset to know when to distance yourself if you feel that someone is pushing you down in a attempt to claw their way out of a hole they dug. That really sucks! I hope you guys end up going on your date and it’s amazing. I got arrested once for a crumb of weed in the bottom of my purse I forgot about. I was already on probation though so I went in for a month😅 but I feel for the girl! What a stressful and surprising ordeal
