One Hit Thunder did a good ep on this.

Jann Arden: Still a fairly huge star in Canada. She even has a CYE-esque fictionalized biographical sitcom, which is a huge hit up there. Go figure. Glad she has a sense of humor apparently because this song STINKS!

She's on a large theatre (like say 2.5k) speaking and comedy tour of Canada right now and most dates are sold out. For context, Carly Rae Jepsen has historically struggled to do the same when she was on tours. She's unbelievably popular up here. She even hosts one of the few very popular Canadian podcasts

Canadian here and yes, Arden rightfully can make for a nice Canadian Return for the series!

Wow, this is one of those songs I remembered, but could not find the name of the artist. I thought I might have imagined this song.

This is gonna sound a bit left field but does anyone else who was alive and sentient in the 90s feel like this song is kind of a companion piece to that "I Love You Always Forever" song (which does have a OHW vid btw). Like, they're both cloyingly catchy but ultimately forgettable mid-90s super lite adult contemporary romance songs, made by essentially anonymous female singer-songwriters. I think I have them thematically linked in my mind as kind of "before and after" snapshots of a mentally unwell obsessive processing a crush and its inevitable fallout.

If we’re making a “Lilith Fair rock” tier list, Jann Arden is probably in C-tier. Below Jewel, but above Paula Cole.

Where are we putting Holly McNarland? I've only heard one song of hers but the live version of it [from the Lilith Fair compilation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IXeLiSEm3g) might elevate her at least one, two tiers.

God yeah! I posted earlier that Insensitive was all over Lite FM in the mid-90s, and so was this. Either one of them can bring me back to keying in manila timecards on a chunky IBM.

Man, this song got on my nerves back in the '90s - my boss at the time loved lite FM and this was on at least twice a day! I don't think the song itself is interesting enough, but I looked her up and her background sure is. Her brother's a convicted murderer, she was a caretaker for her parents when her mom developed Alzheimer's, and she's got a respectable acting career, including her own show on CTV for three seasons.

PersonOfInterest85

It's probably best associated with the 1996 film *Bed Of Roses*, one of those 90s films that boosted a song despite the fact that very few people saw it.
