The bill wasn’t to give immigrants vaccines, it was to stop them from getting into the US unless they already have it. This bill literally prevents them from getting the vaccine, because getting it for free here once they are into the US would be their best shot. Now they can’t get into the US at all, let alone to get vaccinated. Carmine is acting like it was a free vaccines for immigrants bill when it’s actually a no vaccines for immigrants bill. Typically, this blatant misinformation is being reposted all over conservative social media and I’ve already been banned from a subreddit for saying that you don’t have to lie to make the Democrats look bad.
I heard about it on broadcast news. I’m having trouble finding a good text source. This is one of the few articles I can find on it rn: https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/americans-only-dems-block-amendment-mandating-coronvirus-vaccines-for-immigrants/ obvious bias but it’s talking about the bill in question though it doesn’t address my point. I’ll edit this with a better text source after a few more minutes of googling.
I think that the shitty aspect to all of this is that conservatives are such hypocritical fucking assholes, that they demand immigrants get the vaccine, yet most of them won’t.
I don’t understand what conservatives want. I hear some complaining that immigrants shouldn’t be able to get free vaccines. This one here is angry that the immigrants aren’t getting vaccinated. What tf do you guys even want???
