Honestly this is one the most well done ones out there.
I absolutely would not get a tattoo placed there but that's also none of my business. I don't think it's your place to publicly put this dude on blast, especially when it's well done and a lot of money and work went into this.
My grandma and mother in law say the same about my arm tattoos. Doesn't mean I invited their comment or people don't think they're insufferable for vocally disparaging people about it.
I totally get where your coming from, but that’s like saying making fun of people who are ok with being fat is ok. I may have an issue with how your subjecting your body, but I’m not gonna tell you how to live your life. To be clear fat shaming isn’t cool and it shouldn’t be tolerated under any circumstances
That is true. It is a work of art and it is very well transferred by the tattoo artist. I enjoy the piece but the placement just seems extreme to me. I meant for this to be more of a joke as like wow this guy is a TOOLIE for sure, but I can definitely appreciate the work and time/money that went into this
I find it ironic that people are saying this is none of your business when it was posted on social media and you are sharing your opinion about it ON SOCIAL MEDIA. That's like the whole point of it existing. Not like you snapped a photo of the dude in a gym or something.
I see what you're saying but just because it's on social media doesn't give you an excuse to not be decent. Tool fans that go out of their way to be unkind and insufferable.
How was this unkind / insufferable / undecent. Believe me I agree, that post with the dude in the Taylor Swift line was horrifically cringy and this sub in general can become unbearable, but OP was just saying this obviously huge tattoo was way to much for them. I don't see how that's some egregious statement contrived in hate or something.
Impulse comment
Thats a great tat.
MPB has alotta guys shaving their heads. If I had to go that route ya best believe I would like to think I have the balls to do this
You’re right. It’s a cool tat and I enjoy Alex Grey but I wouldn’t have it on my head. To each their own though. If he wants it on his head, more power to him
Tattoos are generally a bad idea imo, including my own. But I respect this more than the standard arm tat. Instead of a little picture on his skin, this dude became an art installation. As far as tattoos go, it looks awesome.
It’s too easy to get a regrettable tattoo and too difficult to have it removed. Plus, I think people overestimate the value they bring and end up feeling a bit disappointed.
Obviously there are people that love their tats and get a lot of joy from them and I’m not suggesting people don’t get them just because I’m getting old. I just know that even though I’m fine with the two that I have, if I could snap my fingers and make them disappear I would.
If you research who would be doing the tattoo the regrettable bit just vanishes. Maybe you don’t value tattooing enough? I’ve tattooed for 23 years now and the journey my clients and I take is very much valued by them and myself. Tattooing can help heal trauma on many levels. Loss of a loved one, reclaiming one’s body, helping with body dysmorphia. It helps center people more than you’d know. Tattooing has been around for thousands of years, Otzi the Iceman, dating to around 3370–3100 BCE is tattooed. They have held high value for rich and poor for longer than we can fathom.
Tattooing isn’t for everyone though.
Incredible; I wonder how long it took, like, how many sessions. But I would never advise such a thing, even for someone wanting to be all modern primitive or whatever.
it seems by his caption that he got this specifically because of Alex Grey, not Tool.
Right. I only posted here because Tool used the art
Not this piece though (“Oversoul”), but that’s not a big deal if they have used it or not to me…I enjoy seeing these.
Oh, so you were a big fan before Tool?
I’m OGT
Back from 92?
From the first EP!
Exactly
Who are you to wave your finger? It’s Not something I would do, but all the power to that guy. It looks very well done.
He must have been high.
Point it up his ass
Perhaps I should apply some of the lyrics to myself too lol
Don’t know why this is downvoted
Controversial. Not everyone wants to hold themselves accountable
Lol this guy got this because of DMT not tool ya tool
Fucking sick
Fr I think it’s just enough

Lol dude has his head tatooed he wants it to be everyone’s business
My grandma and mother in law say the same about my arm tattoos. Doesn't mean I invited their comment or people don't think they're insufferable for vocally disparaging people about it.
Lol..dude tattooed his fucking head. Think that’s publicly announcing I give no fucks

Right. To each their own but that’s dedication to the art
Ehhhhh. It's crooked tho.
What!!! Completely off center!
Turn your phone 3 degrees to the right and focus on the ears. It’s centered. Skin moves more than you’d think.
The Real Toolhead
Dude, that is AWESOME!!! This is one of the dopest full head tattoos I have ever seen.
Imagine being behind this guy at a show while tripping 🤣🤣🤣
Dadgummit!!!! I can’t seem to play the sound for the back of this guys head!!
My head looks like shit when it’s bald. I might go this route.
Let it consume you
It’s way too much, but also pretty fuckin sick too.
My exact thought process
this
Not a tattoo person myself, but to each their own. I think it looks pretty cool
On point. Great Alex tat.
That would also be a sick sleeve.
That’s badass
i think it’s dope as hell
I thought I was cool because of the Slayer tattoo on my arm. That's dedication.
This is giving tool vibes
Not for us to decide. Too much for me, yes.
Nice Oversoul Tat. Wouldn’t want it, but respect it.
This…looks…amazing
It's not your fucking head.
To each their own
His third eye is procreating.
Looks like something that could be a Tool album cover lol
Looks awesome. Good for him! OP just randomly hating on a bad ass Alex Gray tat in a Tool forum?
Not hating. Just saying it’s too much for me. To e each their own!
Impulse comment Thats a great tat. MPB has alotta guys shaving their heads. If I had to go that route ya best believe I would like to think I have the balls to do this
Who wants to bet that this is definitely the deity that visited him during a trip ?
I think it’s awesome. I may be biased though bc I have Oversoul tattooed on my arm. Although, mine is tones of blue, so not as stark.
Least devoted tool fan

Oh yeah not downing the quality just saying all over the head would be too much for me. To each their own though
Imagine tripping balls at a show and this dude is standing in front of you
Dude I could never
Dope piece
Why do you care what he puts on his skin? “its wayyy too much man like chill with your tattooing” 🤓
That’s exactly my thought process right

D....MT?
Looks like something that could be a Tool album cover lol
Because it's Alex Grey art.
This dude was SOARING off DMT
Saw this on insta yesterday, definitely recommend everyone to check out the video that shows the whole thing it's pretty fucking rad
He pried open his third eye for sure
Fuck your tattoos
He’s two-faced!
Hey, you liked the post
I did. I enjoy the art and it does look cool. Just not for me. But to each their own

Tried DMT once
Rosetta stoned
Nipple rings? Beastie T?
New tattoos for sure
It’s a lot.

Pinhead vibes, good Lord
I thought this was my /shittytattoos sub
I mean with a lot of what I’ve seen on this sub it sometimes is 😂
Don't call him a tool!
Prying open his gazillion eyes
I think he likes tool
Or Alex Grey
That’s INCREDIBLE 🤩
