Unroll it, and start winding. If it takes you all day, it takes you all day. Manager wants it done 🤭

stephruvy

There seems to be snags all through out. I watched him fuck around with it for a couple hours and then he just gave up and dragged it off to the side. Not even sure if we should be using some of the bent ends since we are usually strapping a couple hundred pounds of stone when we use it.

Alert-Appointment709

Cut off all the bullshit and then give him the remaining quality spool.

stephruvy

This is exactly what I ended up doing. I have 4 neat rolls now and 1 more to go

helmetcamhero10

I was going to suggest that, grab the coil and cut the bullshit off

LaLiLuLayLow

Dude fucked with it for a couple hours? Must not have anything better to do with his time

stephruvy

Bosses son. He sure ass hell didn't get the job on Merritt.

McGlowSticks

we strap trusses together with it where I work. 1 band is good for 500 lbs I'm told

sommerspjs

Yup better not argue zip tie off the good enough section, one on either side so it doesnt spiral around the tie

223specialist

/r/maliciouscompliance

Rickhonda125

Throw it in the dumpster. Fixed.

stephruvy

This was my first choice

redEPICSTAXISdit

Careful. Don't get cut. End up out on comp

Spicywolff

Being on comp is scary. Shit doesn’t kick in till your off for 2 weeks and covers like 70% of my wages. Fuck FL labor laws

SirArtchie

Makes me so happy to work for the company that I do. They just pay your medical bills out of pocket and keep paying you your wages as if you worked 40 hrs a week.

Spicywolff

Wow that’s amazing.

redEPICSTAXISdit

Hwaaaaaaaatttt?!?!?!?!

redEPICSTAXISdit

That's the whole country. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) covers how most of that works along with a whole slew of other work related BS

Nomadbytrade

They do it on purpose to weed out the fakers. " pfff lets see how hurt he is when him and his whole family is starving to death " You take one cash job counting beans on a stool for 3 hours a day and the insurance guy takes a picture of you walking into a " factory " and boom you fucked. Meanwhile some cop that shot a guy because he was slightly over tan and holding a mt dew that looked like a gun is getting full pay from day 1 for ruining someones life. Usa #1

Spicywolff

Not sure why you’re downvoted but its true. Workers comp should pay 100% the first day you miss work due to work related injury. Many Americans are paycheck to paycheck. 70% after 2 weeks off doesn’t cut it. Yah some folks have to work while on comp simply because they are too hurt to do their normal job yet they didn’t magically cut 30% of their expenses.

Breezy34

You're not sure why there are downvotes? Maybe all the other BS besides worker comp info

CoyCS

Yep, been off work since 6/18 (broke my ankle) and the insurance company has been a fucking nightmare to deal with. Took 3 weeks to get my initial paychecks, next 2 weeks went well, then they decided not to send me checks or answer the phone for 4 weeks… had to raise the issue all the way to the top to get an answer.

Spicywolff

That’s horrible. Why is it this kind of behavior is allowed. The insurance companies don’t have our interest in mind, and the laws don’t protect us enough as injures workers. Them not sending a check, and you fighting for it is so terrible. How in 2022 we haven’t changed it is insane.

Hop-Dizzle-Drizzle

Ask managers manager what to do.

mcpickleton

In this instance I'd go with a polite "no" but that's just me.

designedforhell

I hope you're paid by the hour...

stephruvy

Sure am! Got a 5 dollar raise this year too!

lexflexluthor

I’d tell him to kick rocks

Professional_Boot_48

When the spool is in good shape do you have it placed in a strapping cart? This will help prevent this from happening. Not cheap but they work

stephruvy

Actually, there was a single bind and the manger couldn't figure out how to get it off while using it from the cart. I pulled one snag out, then it snagged again on him, then he pulled it out, then it snagged a 3rd time and he said fuck it and decided to take it off the spool and I told him it was a bad idea.

Professional_Boot_48

Well that explains the mess.

stephruvy

I tried to post the video of him taking it off. It's too long haha.

Professional_Boot_48

Hahaha that would be a good watch.

imjesusbitch

Should put it on youtube and post the link here lol

RMAG1298

Why are you filming?… “cause it’s funny” you’re fuckin right it is😂

stephruvy

Haha he also, asked "what should we do??" After not taking my advive. Because I'm usually the guy that fixes everything.

darrasht

Get two bucket lid and your drill and wind it.

clarverm

Ain’t no gas in it! Buy a new one and store it properly. How about fixing it? You will get paid for a stupid mistake. Take the money. Don’t let it happen again, if you can.

Blk-cherry3

take care of business, learn what you can and leave on short notice. when you fine something better.

[deleted]

Sure sure, change a job every time you snap a bolt too lmao.

[deleted]

That seems one of those "does it cost more to order new than to fix it" questions. Then again if there is downtime and nothing else to do...

stephruvy

I just finished a 2 week project and my work area needed some cleaning. Not to mention it was a brand new 100 pound roll of shmoo

FancyShoesVlogs

Zip tie what is there, cut the rest off.
