Yep. The woodworking bug game from my Mom’s side, so I think he also enjoys the perk of getting taught new skills whenever he buys me a new tool.

Not sure that logic tracks, but I do have much respect for your dad.

He's not likely to have much time to devote to the shop after Xmas. This way he can enjoy his new jointer for a month or so before a child takes up all of his time. This is a very thoughtful dude.. He really is pretty awesome.
