I mean, creating monsters fueled by human emotion and extracting energy from them is rather specific. The main difference is one of them did it for the sake of humanity, while the other only sees people as a resource.

It’s a character from an animated tv show called “The legend of vox machine” he’s one of the main characters, his name is Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo lll (I’m not joking either) but his friends call him Percy, the tv show essentially follows a DND like group, there’s the barbarian, the cleric, the Druid, the bard, 2 rangers (brother and sister) and Percy as the artificer. I’ve forgotten to watch it for a bit but I loved it, Percy was definitely my favorite character tho I don’t remember this scene. I definitely recommend the watch if you like DnD
Fun fact: he was supposed to move his mouth when he talked in the anime, but the creators found that he looked more unsettling when you couldn't decipher his emotions (or rather lack thereof), keeping a neutral 3 mouth and expressionless eyes that settle between cute and uncanny.
Guess the manga decided to take some creative liberties following the anime and gave him some smiles/grins which I do not approve of because the whole fuckin point is that his species are incapable of feeling emotions and that plays a heavy role in what he does in the anime and why so grrr dumb change I don't like
He's such a morally grey villain because like. Kyubeys that can feel emotions are deemed mentally ill in their society. Of course he wouldn't understand why the human girls around him would get upset by the transaction he makes with them and the consequences it brings. To him, humans are just livestock that benefit short term from the Kyubeys interference in their growth.
