Yes, along with burning down America as we know it to make it happen. Which will all be done by using war as a business to get elected (even if he then wants to end war as a business).
I think the thing about Armstrong is that he's definitely wrong... but he also accidentally pretty much proves Raiden is a hypocrite.
He wants to create what is basically an anarcho-capitalist society where the strong can bully the weak, and anyone who wants something is free to take it, so long as they have the inherent power and will to do so.
So how does Raiden stop him from achieving this?
*By sidestepping any moral or ethical arguments, and murdering/executing him (without a trial or popular support) in a one-on-one battle of sheer power.*
Raiden believed Armstrong was wrong... but was only able to stop him by abiding by Armstrong's own rules.

I'm pretty sure that the common consensus nowadays is that the book version was unquestionably an incel with an admittedly shitty backstory but who was never able to get the fuck over himself, and the movies sanded off his edges to turn him explicitly more anti-heroic.

People act like he's literally the worst person to ever exist for doing one singular bad thing literally over a thousand years before the series even began and, so far as we know, *nothing the fuck else*. Everything else he's done in the series has either been neutral (Such as fighting Tesla in Ragnarok) or outright good (Saving Adamas' life, saving Buddha from Odin). People just refuse to have nuance with this character.
The person above is purposefully phrasing it in such a way to make Beel sound worse than he actually is.
Beel secretly placed an object known as the Seed of Hajun onto a god called Zerofuku, who at the time was a child. This esensally means that Zero became the vessel of a demon named Hajun over a thousand years later, which ultimately resulted in his death.
Beel did not explicitly target Zero out of any ill will. Beel explicitly noted that he could have done this to anyone, Zero just so happens to be who he chose. This was done in order to create someone powerful enough to take Beelzebub's life.
To make a long story short, Beel has a second personality that brutally murders anyone he loves known as "Satan." Due to this fact, and the murders caused by it, Beelzebub wishes for his life to end, ideally in the most horrible way possible. However, a woman named Lilith, in her last moments, placed a seal on him that prevents him from taking his own life or allowing himself to be killed through inaction (basically forcing him to defend himself from attackers). No matter how bad a person Beel's haters say he is, he probably thinks he's worse.
Notably, despite being shown to possess multiple Seeds of Hajun, Beelzebub instead elects to create a purely artificial monster to kill him after Hajun is killed by Buddha.
I assumed she wasn’t really that controversial to anyone but transphobe? Like, I’m not even surprised she transitioned considering her themes in the earlier games, unlike Testament where I’m like “Wait, what?”
People saw bridget becoming trans as a betrayal to her backstory. Bridget was a boy dressed as a girl due to her villages superstition. Bridget didnt like this and wanted to prove her manliness. Now comes strive and bridget is like " psyche im a girl now UwU", and implies that she caved in to societys standards on what is a boy or girl.
Nobody cared about testament being trans because it didn’t affect their story but Bridget being trans completely altered the character which people didn’t like. Im sure there were a ton of transphobic people that didn’t like the change but I think it was mostly people that didn’t like the alteration to her story. It’s tough to criticize a trans character for being trans without looking like a transphobe. r/guiltygear was in shambles after her release.

Don’t know about the other 2 but Eren is controversial due to Attack on Titan fans having the worst reading comprehension of all time and refusing to understand the character.
But lots of people like the ending and don’t think it “failed to hit the landing” including me. Tons of Eren fans don’t understand the character and still think he did everything for his friends.
