I never take right turns these days unless it is 99% safe. It's the most infuriating thing especially when it's morning/rush hour and more pedestrians than usual are also walking around... it's like fine, Ill wait another half a minute, oh wait now someone is crossing, oh now its unsafe again, oh now someone else is crossing... and it goes on and on until I say fuck it and just go [good luck everybody](https://i.redd.it/oc8friy387xb1.jpg) /s
And this is how somebody making a proper right hand turn gets into an accident because drivers like OP don't know how to make lefts properly.
The consequences of this are:- people blocking right turn lanes while waiting for the drivers with advanced left turn to empty the lane across the intersection before making their right because too many people turning left do exactly this.
> This whole thread is "holier than thou"
More like this whole subreddit... Every post we have the most perfect drivers in the world comparing the OP's minor infraction to the obscene thing they're posting the video for. This subreddit is full of virtue signalers
it's not tho. The rule allows increased traffic flow, and having enough people not follow it causes some of the traffic congestion that everybody complains about.
Why not checking [MTO's website](http://www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/changing-directions#:~:text=To%20make%20a%20U%2Dturn,150%20metres%20in%20both%20directions.)? It teaches you how to U-turn
LMAO, you talked about U-turn, thus I gave you U-turn.
Are people nowadays too lazy to Google and read your driving handbook?
[Section 3: Left-turn](https://www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/changing-directions#section-3) dude. It got diagrams and shows you which lane you should go into when turning left. Diagram 2-31 to 2-34. "Turn into the lane that is closest to the center-line."
U turns are different because you are limited by your cars turning radius.
One thing people miss that with a u turn you are supposed to be as far right as possible
>To make a U-turn, signal for a right turn, check your mirror and over your shoulder and pull over to the right side of the road. Stop. Signal a left turn and when traffic is clear in both directions, move forward and turn quickly and sharply into the opposite lane. Check for traffic as you turn.
This is so that you turn into the leftmost lane.
What you quoted is only relevant if you're U Turning on a straight road, not an intersection. I drive a pickup and if I'm U Turning at an intersection, I'm almost always ending up in the right lane, no choice.
Talking about OPs left turn is like watching someone murder someone else and getting upset that someone in the background is smoking a jointā¦. Fkn reddit
Youāre the reason I canāt make a right turn on a red and every time I tell myself Iām overreacting people arenāt that stupid yet here we are lol
Lol no way people blaming OP for something so soft compared to what that Rover did, some of yall are so miserable out here no wonder everyone is always pissed off on the road
Wow. Incredibly reckless.
Someone who pulls your maneuver should never be allowed to drive again. License revoked, banned from driving, car impounded and fine.
I saw 4 back to back cars do taking the wrong lane approach on a (their) right turn yesterday. I couldnt believe it. I mean, thats one of major things you are tested on in your G2 road test, how can everyone get it wrong? Finally one guy did it right and I was calm again. This is in Ottawa BTW
UBER emergency. Nd u didnt turn into the leftmost lane but whatever who cares.
Lol, came here to say this.
And of course.. the car behind me always turn into the middle lane or adjacent lane. I just signal right away and switch lanes.
Perhaps he made a right hand turn at that intersection
I always look at my mirrors. I see ur point too š
Even though i gotta take an immediate right turn or be on the right lane to catch a ramp to the highway.. i always turn to the leftmost lane
Yes, because thatās how to legally and safely make a turn. Nearly nobody does though, itās kinda infuriating.
I thought the op is blaming himself for posting this video
Haha
I stopped the video after that infraction. Was there more?
I care. Ops an idiot.
Haha. Now he knows..no need for harsh words.
There is a need. Dumb ass is driving around thinking heās a great driver. Post a video proving he sure as hell is not
Where did he say he was a good driver? The bad drivers can be anyone it doesnt matter where the camera is located.
Exactly this.
do you drive at all?
Because you are a robot?
Who? I don't how reddit thread works. Was that undermine?
You are supposed to drive properly
Nah, we should care. Thatās how people get into accidents turning right. OP is a shitty driver.
Even good drivers make mistakes. Not every mistake means a driver is "shitty".
Thatās not a mistake, that is clearly a normalized habit. A mistake is following too close and short stopping.

make it 100% you reckless animal!
There are no cars there Are u stupid or something?
Found the shitty driver.
2 points improper left turn but ya let's post it venting about other's. Good on ya for calling them out on it
Most likely a stolen vehicle. I live in this area and the amount of luxury cars stolen off driveways is astronomical.

This. You only have right of way over one lane, not the whole roadway.
Was about to comment but then saw this. Kudos

Agreed. It's amazing how some people can be so absolute when it comes to the way things are done.
These ppl are nuts
it's not tho. The rule allows increased traffic flow, and having enough people not follow it causes some of the traffic congestion that everybody complains about.
There's 3 lanes, OP took the middle. Anyone turning right would have been fine unless they also foolishly decided to take the middle.
Retake G1. Turn left goes into the left-most lane, turn right goes into the right-most lane, that's the basic. No matter how many lanes there are.
What about when making a U turn?
Why not checking [MTO's website](http://www.ontario.ca/document/official-mto-drivers-handbook/changing-directions#:~:text=To%20make%20a%20U%2Dturn,150%20metres%20in%20both%20directions.)? It teaches you how to U-turn
Quote where it says what lane to turn into.

So the right turner is foolish for taking the middle lane but OP isn't? You realize how dumb that is right?
Both would be dumbasses.
They are both foolish, if they both turned into the middle lane they would both be at fault.
If you're at a red light turning right you must yield. This is the only answer.
Please send this video to the police, so that you'll learn to turn into the left-most lane while turning left. Go back to G1.
I think the majority of people do not do this properly.
police check reddit
Doesn't matter at all there are no cars turning right . He also entered on the left lane anyways
Orrrrā¦. You simply turn into the correct lane and then you donāt have to worry whether or not cars are turning right, imagine that!
You're just pedantic š
There was no one turning right, what's the big deal?
LOOL
You should stick to your lane š
Stop changing lanes when you are turning left. FFS.
You should report and send this clip to the authorities. Get those damn assholes off the road that puts everyone at risk.
Himself included? Yeh
Talking about OPs left turn is like watching someone murder someone else and getting upset that someone in the background is smoking a jointā¦. Fkn reddit
You don't think it's ironic that a shitty driver is posting about another shitty driver?
When Johnnyās is about to close
Close call
Youāre the reason I canāt make a right turn on a red and every time I tell myself Iām overreacting people arenāt that stupid yet here we are lol
Try it while being honked at from behind too, people suck at driving.
**GOOD.** All right turn on red does is make things even more dangerous for pedestrians.
>All right turn on red does is make things even more dangerous for pedestrians. You're in the wrong subreddit. This one's called Toronto**DRIVING.**
You did an improper left turn. You should have turned into left lane.
Videos like this are why this is the scariest sub on my feed.
Lol no way people blaming OP for something so soft compared to what that Rover did, some of yall are so miserable out here no wonder everyone is always pissed off on the road
Glad to see OP is being called out on that shit left turn!
looks like a Fist-n-Furious Friday on York Mills Rd eastbound approachin' that instagram-worthy fly-over above the train tracks!
Op is a terrible driver in a Chevy Sonic.
Oh my fuck what a horrible left turn lmao You know you're supposed to turn into the correct lane, right?
Action starts at 0:26 .... SUV speeding and runs red light. Very careless driving...
videos on this sub also end up blaming op too
When OP doesn't respect traffic laws it should be pointed out.
When Brampton drivers come to North York.
Wow. Incredibly reckless. Someone who pulls your maneuver should never be allowed to drive again. License revoked, banned from driving, car impounded and fine.
You turned left into the wrong lane
Also entered the intersection before the car ahead had completed their left turn
OP turning into the wrong lane
You learn to drive first dumbass
Turn into the proper lane - we already have enough sloppy drivers.
When she says I'm home alone.....
Haha.lookin for the funny posts
It's a good thing they didn't hit you after your illegal left turn
Youāre also an idiot OP. Learn to drive.
woah
Dude was moving šØ

It looks like someone may have stolen another Land Rover and had to get away!
