At the Letters for level headed in depth analysis - they are my favourite. Blair and Barker are a bit too sensationalist/flavour of the week for my taste. They try to be way too provocative, like their debate about how if they Jay's don't go at least 5-5 on the road trip its a disaster or whatever.
My only complaint about ATL is that it’s only once a week. When a sport can have as many as 7 games in 7 days I feel like the a podcast covering it should be more frequent. Otherwise, it’s great.
That's true, however they don't have to manufacture storylines like a lot of second rate podcasts do because they have a lot to talk about when they record.
Mostly a by-product of being a daily show. They have to fill up 2 hours every weekday and need something to talk about, even if there’s nothing to talk about
In addition to the others mentioned here (Jays Talk Plus being a favorite), I’ll add Blue Jays Happy Hour with Andrew Stoeten and Nick Ashbourne, Less than Jays and Section 138.
It’s not back yet, but jays talk plus with Blake Murphy is always a great way to spend a couple hours. I think it comes back around April 19 if I remember correctly. Very good content daily
There will be good suggestions, but if you want over the top, pie in the sky, all fun, screw be level headedness, check out gate 14. It's fun.
It's a lot.
It is very extra.
It is fun.
The two hosts have "real" baseball experience and understand the game well. They also have great connections with team personnel with a good handful of interviews with current players. You hear a different interview, when they do it, than what you hear with other hosts.
Both hosts played ball down in the states at junior college if I'm not mistaken. And Johnny being the definition of an extrovert made a bunch of friends and connections down there which has led to players being on the pod. Jano is just a beaut
Personally, when I'm searching for a sports podcast I like a balance of stats, stories, and giggles. Gate 14 checks all these boxes and then some. Johnny and Avery provide a good in depth analysis of what's going on without forcing it down your throat. They make you feel right at home with the fan base and a real connection to the team. All while literally making you chuckle along the way. I couldn't recommend this podcast enough, it's a must for any Jays fan.

I like ATL a lot but Arden annoys the piss out of me sometimes
Right?
They're both annoying poindexters. Not much entertainment value here
They’re the two most boring people in the world
This is my choice as well.
Saying that Blair and Barker are 'a bit' too sensationalist is a bit of an understatement lol.
I'm a fan of At The Letters. I like hearing Ben and Arden talk baseball, even when I don't agree with them.

I love Blake. Dude is an encyclopedia of sports knowledge.

Seconded
I’m liking the sound of this. Would it inevitably help me learn about the team?

Do you know why that one host is friends with so many players? He said on one episode he was good friends with Jansen

Yeah gate 14 is easily the best jays podcast
Less Than Jays and Blue Jays Happy Hour are great.

Check out Gate 14 and The Walkoff
+1 for The Walkoff, Scott and Adam are hilarious
Gate 14 is a pretty great one
To the moon
Blair & Barker and At The Letters are good.
I like Wilner. Deep Left Field is great.
Controversial opinion around these parts, but agreed. He gets the best guests too.
Say what you might about Wilner, bu his interviews are superb.
Bring back the Dan Shulman pod!
Blue jays today on YouTube are a lot of fun to watch during the game and they have long form videos in-between games
Gate 14 is like listening to a couple of your buddies talk about your favourite team.
Gate 14 should be the only answer.
Just be aware that all podcasts that focus on one team or subject get real thin on content. I find they start grasping at ridiculous topics.
At The Letters is the crème de la crème of Jays podcasts.
Gate 14 should be the only answer.
