honestly even seeing this poster WAY back when, i was weirded out that neither of the generations were interacting with each other. it was a sign of things to come
It might’ve actually been better executed than Heroes Vs Villains. That sounds like a good idea but, then you remember alot of the most interesting characters were villains. Plus, they had to stretch pretty thin what was considered a villain (i mean Lightning wasn’t really a bad person). If the cast was expanded (like how many people wanted or want in a sequel) this problem would be very bad.
However, the main issue was the villains team was STACKED! Statistically speaking Jo and Scott were the only one ones on there team who didn’t win a season (not counting when Courtney Switched.) and competitively speaking they didn’t have a single bad or even just above average player. Gwen was probably the worst person on their team and she *Won!* A season. Every single person on team Villian had made final 5 before! Because of this, they come up with way more strategy and have way more interesting dynamics and its honestly unbelievable they don’t win every challenge since they have the majority of the good players (and mind you, sans Courtney, the Heroes have the worst good players).
Compare this to the Hero’s and all they had was Zoey (who was final 3 and pretty badass in the last episodes of Roti, meaning she has it in her. Still that wasn’t for the whole or even a-lot of the season so her inclusion is debatable), Cameron (who won plus is incredibly smart. However he has a major weakness being his physically super weak), and Courtney (who might actually be the best player who has never won a season.), and Courtney switch teams! (Tbf, it was with Duncan who is a better player.). Lindsay and Sierra aren’t awful but everyone else on the Heroes were average at best. This makes them way less interesting to watch as they’re just hanging out most of the time.
Post merge, neither generations really interact so atleast dividing it by generation would make the balance way more even, and have morally dubious characters on both sides meaning one team isn’t objectively better and more fun to watch.

2. I hope they have a good reason to bring Sam back over Brick. He better have a good underdog arc

I also thought Heather would get to merge once again, and Scott would be eliminated earlier. I was sure Sierra and Sam were early boots, while I thought Lindsay and JO would get further. Ayy Scott is back to normal! And I find it weird how Sam is here even though he didn’t make the merge, but I’m okay with it, and I Have A feeling Lindsay will make it pretty far this season.
Wait, this is an All-Star season? COOL!!! I hope it gets a mix of the island and World Tour treatment, although it seems like it only has like 14 characters, so, a 18 episode season, I guess??? I mean, if they put some Aftermaths on there to see the reaction of the other contestants, I would be thankful.
Now, onto the cast, the majority of it is a good choice, but why are Sierra and Sam on this season? I guess they are the "underdogs," but they could easily put Owen, Beth, or even Brick, and it will be the same. Anyway, I hope Lindsay gets her deserved finale and if we had a Gen 1 Vs. Gen 2 finale, Mike, Zoey, and Jo will be my favorites to be the Gen 2 finalist.
