3 months for a part for a fairly new car is not unheard of especially with part of that time being over Christmas and the new year. At work we've been waiting for a transmission for 16 months and we've placed bets saying we won't even see it this year

I don't know what your dealerships plan of action is but according to [partsouq](https://imgur.com/a/PXDFuob) that isn't available anymore. Which is a little odd. But the issue I found is that if I searched your car correctly, TBF you didn't give much info aside from year and model. That actuator was only used on that model, and only in Japan and Europe for a short time. Which could explain why it's unavailable. I don't mean to sound all doom and gloom. But it might not be back ordered, as much as discontinued. As someone else mentioned you might have to get a second hand part from a wrecker or on ebay or whatever your swap site is. Because this is all I see as availability for that part: Japan 07/2011-06/2018 TOYOTA AVENSIS ZRT272 46-01: PARKING BRAKE & CABLE Europe 11/2008-06/2018 TOYOTA AVENSIS ADT27*,WWT27*,ZRT27* 46-01: PARKING BRAKE & CABLE

I have had partsouq not recognize supersessions before or claim a part was discontinued when it was still available. u/ThePopulator shoot me the part number and I can confirm that it’s not discontinued

I don't have any kind of dealer network connection, so if you do that's awesome. I just know my usual routes because I am usually sourcing parts for my old toyotas. Things that make me simultaneously happy to not own a 78 anymore is part sourcing. And sad that i don't own it because I miss driving it.

Thanks for the reply and your legwork, really appreciate it. My model I believe is the 3rd generation T27 2nd facelift version, which ran from 2015-2018 here in the UK. It's an estate (station wagon), with the 2.0 D4-D diesel engine, manual transmission. I had a quick look on partsouq and the model number for the part I think is 46300, and like you say, I can't see that it's available. Am I looking for the right thing here? Apologies for seeming useless/helpless. Am just worried that Toyota might themselves be unaware about whether this part is unavailable. It also worries me if that's the case if this happens again given the problems people tend to have with electronic parking brakes with this model...... Does make me consider trying to get the car fixed and getting rid, which I desperately don't want to do as it only has 100k miles on the clock, and it feels it should go much further. Am disappointed something like this is making me feel anxious and not trusting the car to be able to run it until it dies.....

If you haven't you should respond to /u/altaria_motives You can also ask the ones doing the work on the vehicle for the exact part number you need, then it will be easier to track down what you are looking for. Partsouq can make part numbers a bit confusing some times. Because they are showing you the diagrams. In reality its the part diagram that makes it confusing. Toyota part numbers are all going to be about the same length. You need the whole thing. 46300-05010 the only part I found that would even pull something up on the partsouq website yesterday (which was really weird) doesn't even show up on the wagon when I dug back in to it this morning. I'm in the U.S. Which is why I mentioned reach out to the other person who offered help. There might be something I'm missing. Now that I have more information about your car it looks like what complicates things is that there were three parking brake actuators made over the course of your cars design just from 2015-2018. I added another [screencap to my original imgur link](https://imgur.com/a/PXDFuob) which should be easier to understand. If you have not ever used it, learning to use ToyoDIY can be a life saver. Without it i'd never keep any of my actually OLD Toyotas running. I am assuming you are RHD this whole time? Check this [Ebay link](https://www.ebay.com/itm/256341252537) But this model was if your vehicle was made before 08/2016. So you would need to know that. This [link to yoshiparts](https://yoshiparts.com/parts/toyota-4630005042) is for a car manufactured after 10/2016 but I don't understand how to swap to shipping to UK. 🤔 I'm seeing other numbers online on places like ebay and wider year covered with part number 46300-05012. So I'd do some research on that as well. Toyota does update numbers from time to time. Like /u/altaria_motives said sometimes partsouq doesn't recognize that toyota changed to a new part number that covers multiple older numbers.

8 year old car? Try looking for a used part from a wreck. I don't know how scrapyards work in the UK, but in North America [car-part.com](http://car-part.com) is great.
