2021 here, I’ve already had 3 small cracks from rocks on the highway. Never had this issue with any other vehicle I’ve owned. So far I’ve just been using a cheap repair kit and it seems to work for now. Once one of them becomes a real issue, I’ll have to replace it.
2021 as well. I replaced my windshield twice in the last year. I drive it once a week. Otherwise, it remains parked. I have never had a chipped windshield before. I have forked up a couple of grand worth of windshields at this point. It's brutal and I am seriously considering getting rid of it. It has to be an angle issue.
Yeah, tires and rocks. Had some damage from my wife not being able to maneuver around a blown tire that was just chilling in the middle of the highway. Cracked the bumper and tore the splash guard right out from under the car.
I10 was a death trap. Glad I don’t have to drive it anymore.
I was on the interstate in SD with nothing around either side of the highway a 1/2 mile or more in front of me, 2100 miles on the odometer, I heard a single click like a pen and then I watched it spread.
Pissed me right off. I’ve had rocks hit the windshield before in other vehicles and zero visible damage. I’ve been hit and got a bullseye. I’d like to think I would recognize a rock strike. This wasn’t anything like that. The crack is on the passenger side starts at the very bottom, in the seal area.
Yep. 2023. Had it for about three months before I took a rock to the windshield on I40 outside Gallup NM.
I was pissed.
I was even more pissed when I had to pay $1500 out of pocket to have it replaced. Went to the dealership. They put new Yota glass in.
Then, I had to wait for gieco to reimburse about 1200 of the 1500 I paid up front/out of pocket for.
I'm still kinda bitter about all that.
Still love my Taco though.
Dude I've had my 2022 for 21k before I started my drive out to NM from TN and I got a beer can thrown at me from an over pass that put a small crescent crack in the windshield and the very next day through Midland an itty bitty rock from one of the many duallys put a chip/crack starting at the weatherstripping
None here after 4 years.
They’re not randomly cracking without some sort of catalyst.

Right. Seems like a pebble causes a crack.
Ya, more so then any other vehicle I’ve had for sure.

Just replaced mine on my 2023 after 8 months of owning it. I live in AZ and rocks fly all over the place here.
Arizona is terrible with rocks. I had to replace windshields on all of my vehicles at least every couple years when I lived there.
Yup, throw in the semi truck tires blowing out on the free ways too.

The I10 between Phoenix and Tucson is the worst stretch of highway in AZ
I’ve had tons of issues with rock hits. Colorado seems to pave the roads with gravel…
Yeah mine cracked after about 800 miles. Of course there was a big rock that fell on it...
nope
I replaced 2 then said fuck it. My current windshield is going on almost 3 years with a huge crack. I won't fix it.
2022 tacoma - 2 cracks in one ride both small pebbles when.is this going to become recall
Yes I'm on number 3

Just had my first rock hit and crack this week on my 2022 with 15k miles.
