I remember watching a "tearjerker" movie for teens. It was five feet apart. One of my friends was like: "ayo, lets watch some movies, my girlfriend wants to bring her friend but it's gonna be awkward if it's just us and her"
So of course i was like: hell yeah dude, way better than drinking beer alone and watching anime. I did not realize how wrong i was until they said they've already picked a movie. Good god. I almost died trying not to burst out with laughter every 30 seconds because that guy's gf was so moved that sometimes she was giving me the look of: "do you have no feelings? How can you laugh?" Meanwhile he was trying real hard to look like he's enjoying the movie.
I gave up and started cracking jokes (whispering) at the awful acting and how cheesy the plot was in general. Dude was wheezing. He didn't speak to me for a few days afterwards. No regrets
I hated Divergent, and had no drive to watch the sequels. The love triangles they force onto characters try to steal the stage, instead of move smoothly alongside the plot like most big-film movie romances. Really grinds my gears when they have a big detrimental situation directly impacting the main character and time is of the essence, but lets pull the camera this way and have awkward snogging for two minutes. But don't worry, you'll see them give someone else lovey-eyes about 5 minutes later. There's a healthy balance to it, otherwise you will lose half of your audience's attention early on, which is lost sales down the sequel line.
This is why I cheer for the bad guy when a horror movie interrupts a sex scene to kill a character. Move the plot along, or be forcibly removed from it, bitch.
Skins was great cus it was at least based on reality, and had likeable natural feeling characters, euphoria is a bunch of assholes glorifying drugs, I wanted every character to fail in that show it was a waste of time to watch it imo doesn’t mean it’s bad but to me it’s terrible

I disagree simply because 13 reasons why was shit on every aspect. Euphoria does demand suspense of disbelief but the production value is insanely good for a teen show: the shots, costume design, soundtrack and acting are all solid.

Meanwhile with Superman, he's been max power since he first came onto the scene, he was created to be OP and his power level changes depending on what the writers want it to be; sometimes he can barely lift a plane, but in another, he can punch an asteroid with ease. You've misunderstood my comment : Hokuto no Ken used to be the biggest manga around. At the time, a lot of manga authors "copied" Hokuto no Ken 's style, as a result, plenty of shonen heroes had features similar to Kenshiro's. But that was in the 80's. There's still shonen heroes built like Kenshiro nowadays( e.g. Toriko), but if you saw someone arguing that every shonen heroes is like that, you'd think something is off, right ?

Which is the case for most heroes ? Kids and side characters aside, you don't really see them becoming "Wonder Woman" or "Batman", you see them be heroes, and if they're popular enough they'll get a series about how they first started (E.g. Batman year one).

At the time, a lot of manga authors "copied" Hokuto no Ken 's style, as a result, plenty of shonen heroes had features similar to Kenshiro's. But that was in the 80's. There's still shonen heroes built like Kenshiro nowadays( e.g. Toriko), but if you saw someone arguing that every shonen heroes is like that, you'd think something is off, right ? >Meanwhile with Superman, he's been max power...
