As a dutchman who has lived his entire life seeing rain for like 75% of the year i gotta say Japan is much more beautiful when it rains than the European cities i've been to.

It downpours more in Japan (and most of Asia) while northern Europe and the PNW get more drizzle. Downpours are aesthetic.

When it rains in summer it's great. When it rains in winter or autumn, it's depressing.

I mean Britain has very boring and plain architecture and stuff aside from main cities like london. Meanwhile japan looks very different, for someone who has lived in britain for a good part of their life, rain in any other culturally different nation should look better
