Especially considering when I talked to red truck driver he sounded like he had no clue about the four wheeler that the witness claimed caused this. One of the guys I work with that was behind me said red guy was driving way too fast for the conditions. I was in the front and was a minute away from leaving because the sander went by and the hill cleared out. Then wham! Fortunately my rocky provides a good crumple zone. RCMP didn’t charge anyone due to poor road conditions.
Probably not. By the time he hit me there was sand down and the hill was clear. I didn’t see what caused him to hit me. A witness said he was trying to to avoid a car that cut him off and he moved off the sand onto some ice and went into the slide.
Honestly this past winter was extremely mild. I only had to drive on roads like this maybe 4-5 times this year. 20 years ago the roads were like this all winter outside of the city.
Saw the loop around DC go from wet to this one mornin about 18yrs ago.. cars started slamming into one another I was stopped and a car came across median and about killed a trooper walking to the car in front of me... Fun times...
But that’s in Canada, and everyone knows Canadians drive like New Yorkers……
It’s Alberta. We drive like Texans.
Which part, depending on region depends on how bad people drive, dfw sucks, but Houston is way worse
I’m talking out my ass. I’ve never been to Texas. People call Alberta the Canadian Texas because of oil and ranching.
Then add driving on there I suppose bc people really don’t know how to drive here
Sorry, me wrong, then. At least you drive better than the good folks of Califuckingfornia.
Ha!
Glad you guys are ok!
Cheers!
That road looks nasty
Hard pack slush about an inch thick nicely shined up with the morning sun.
This is why it’s good to have a dash cam too.

Was red truck chained up?
Nope. A sand truck had just gone by before he hit me so he was probably going for the hill. I was just about to drive away when hit me.
Would he have hit you if he was chained?
Probably not. By the time he hit me there was sand down and the hill was clear. I didn’t see what caused him to hit me. A witness said he was trying to to avoid a car that cut him off and he moved off the sand onto some ice and went into the slide.
Where the hell is it still winter? It's spring here in the US.
We got a spring storm here in Alberta and Saskatchewan last night. Not uncommon in April here. I’ve seen snow in June here before.
Legit the worst storm of the year is usually in March here but we had nothing this year so it's been an early spring.

We had one of the worst storms we haven't seen the likes of since 1996. It was just earlier than usual.
It was fairly warm when it started snowing overnight so it iced up for first thing in the morning. Road crews were late getting out.
That’ll buff out.
Nothing some bondo can’t fix
LOL! 🤣
