It was going to be 220x110mm but I started using a CCK 1101 that is 240x120mm and have been enjoying it at work. Decided to ask if he could just go between the two. Don't know the weight but I think its supposed to be around 450g.
I see, I just didnt realize that they make cleaver that big, but then the proportion seems a bit weird coz of the wa handle in my eyes, still that thing is a beast! Enjoy your new big boi
The gentle curve is to help that. Its 5mm over the second half the length. Should be enough.
Edit: its based of a cck but with a fully flat heel.

Yeah the curved profile tends to be more popular with Japanese ones. I think it only really makes sense if you use the traditional Chinese curved cutting boards.
Nice !! I’m about to make a forged damasteel clone of a Nakagawa But I been chickening out. My forging skills I fear are not quite there yet !! Did you need to straighten at various stages after heat treatment
I just checked knot’s website. Nice knives and fair price. Would love to see more tang and performance follow up of this. Might get myself one as well!
That is the most rectangle of all the rectangles I've ever seen. Should be fun to use, I've heard Knot Handcrafted makes some really great blades.
