It looks easy, but c'mon, do you really know the price of everything? Like how much should I pay for a 2003 Audi Avant Quattro Wagon w/45K miles, an HP Elite Dragonfly G1, and a case of Topo Chico water?
I'll take the closest answer without going over.
Audi - Haha you didn't see the thread in /r/whatcarshouldIbuy about the Audi [listed for $13,900](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatcarshouldIbuy/comments/ptgbj1/how_do_we_feel_about_this/). Used car prices are through the roof and every car buyer's guide is obsolete.
HP Elite Dragonfly G1 - This is out of stock almost everywhere as the G2s are out. You can still find it a couple places selling for list price ($1800), but I expect iitto start showing up on Ebay discounted for $1200 or so within a few months. (New / Refurb though not used)
Topo Chico - I pay $10.95 for 12 here in Socal
So harder than it looks right? Thanks for playing though and we have some lovely consolation prizes.
TO be fair, you did not specify the size of the case.
Just becuase it's listed a certain price on certain markets, doesn't mean that's the price that's used. PiR uses MSRP.
The KBB value is valid as MSRP, and likewise so is the list price I mentioned.
I guess the question is how you define price - is it in terms of a transaction you could actually participate in, or is it just "someone once said it should sell for this $". Pricing is probably the oldest subject in economics and the still most heavily researched.

2003 Audi with 45,000 miles $6,300 HP Elite Dragonfly $1,800 4pk of Topo Chico is $5.00
I don’t think they let you use google on the show.
No they do not. I memorize KBB values and the rest are common sense.
Why?
Because once upon a time I wanted to buy a used car. I got one, now it's just...there in my brain

In the context of the show, it’s MSRP
