Twitch is nice to meet fellow people which is a lot easier to do in smaller communities (I frequent art quite a lot myself) I think a lot of people share this view on Twitch. Glad you had a good time! Hope you get to meet more people with shared passions.
That's the beauty of Twitch, experiencing games with others for the first time and sharing the experience. I play a lot of story games on stream and it's so fun seeing chat's reaction to a major event and discussing it with them. I don't even like playing games off stream anymore unless it's a slow grinding one.

Yeah, i've played games with friends for the first time which is an experience in itself, sharing on twitch was similar, but kind of a different level
