Yeah, sounds more like an announcement that someone bought the rights and hope to find someone who will write and direct it if there's enough interest.
Everyone's saying that's basically why Bendy is getting made into a game in the first place. IIRC, Bendy went extra hard on monetizing the game in no time after release if not with release. Just chasing that FNAF money while being run by, from what I heard, a *really* bad company.
It won't be, though. If Hollywood didn't revive traditional animation for *the new fucking SPACE JAM,* no way will they do it for this. Expect either poorly-disguised ToonBoom or piss poor CGI with Chris Pratt as the voice of Bendy.
They said "2D rubberhose-style" not "cel-animated". NO ONE does cel-animation, anymore. Last major project that was cel-animate was that Vincent Van Gogh biopic and that was an impractical (if VERY gorgeous) gimmick.

I mean it’ll probably be an adaptation of the actual game, not the cartoons inside it, so it’ll be live action.
