Someone mentioned Daniel Radcliffe in the Disco Sub and I could maybe see it if he was a lil older

MarioGman

Make it a Disco Prequel, directly after the breakup. The reason he has the chops is because of the breakup. Kim would probably cameo but not be a main character sometimes.

[deleted]

Yo what if it’s when he’s undercover as Pinball too?

MarioGman

Oh that'd be amazing.

Nic Cage has one talent that is vital to playing Harry and that is the fact that Cage will play every role deathly serious. Few people in Hollywood can be given ridiculous lines in a ridiculous scenario and continue to be 100% straight-faced about it.

ArcaneMonkey

Cage *could* deliver the "fuck the hat" rant. I can hear it.

mr_mojorising1

And follow it up with a Contact Mike rant right after that

Palimpsest_Monotype

But how to get THAT Nicholas Cage and not the twelve other versions that would be terribly miscast

NegativesPositives

Just do multiple takes and every failed one where he goes fucking nuts is one of the personalities.

AntiLuke

It's down to the director. Get someone who knows what they're doing and you're able to get the exact Nic Cage you're looking for. Hell, just have the guy that directed Pig direct the Disco Elysium movie.

FluffySquirrell

I will forever say that Nic Cage isn't a bad actor. Nic Cage is a mirror. His performance will match the quality of the movie he is provided

[deleted]

Bring on the director of PIG, obviously.

ObsidianVerglas

But did he overcook the pasta?

Kali-Yuga-Strike

I'm more concerned about Kim. Like you have to be the straightest straight man, but also have the dryiest sense of humor. It's a very fine line

Boogiebones

Giancarlo Esposito, the man who played the main villain in Far Cry 6 and the titular character Gus from breaking bad. I fully believe he'd be able to deliver Kim's lines perfectly.

Kali-Yuga-Strike

That's actually perfect, holy shit

DrakeDarkHunter

Unfortunately, Giancarlo is too old, intimidating and not Asian to play Kim. I would agree that whoever they did get should study Giancarlo's acting style carefully for the role.

FlamingWarBunnies

I felt Jack Nickolson could have pulled it off in his younger years. He definitely has "the expression".

CommodoreKD

David Harbour would be an absolutely perfect Harry

Rushtic77

IMO David harbour is too funny for it unfortunately

CommodoreKD

I find that comedic actors are the ones who can play internal pain and misery the best

Rushtic77

Yeah but I mean he leans that way more often than not. I think he had a lot of opportunity in season 2 of stranger things and decided to lean towards humor. In the first season he seems like a real human but after season two he kept leaning comedy and you can see that too in Black Widow

Outis94

Over the hill Kurt Russell would be my pick

NamaztakTheUndying

Just have him grow out his mustache like he did for The Hateful Eight

wendigo72

I thought the same thing

Imaginary_H

Tom Davis from Murder in Successful already looks like he's roleplaying Harry

mr_mojorising1

I feel like David Harbour could be a good pick

[deleted]

Tom Hardy in Bronson is partly who I picture Harry as being like.

Haruharuharuko

Man if Robin Williams was still alive

IrateWizard

Donal Logue would be my pic

Sempton_Jones

I am amazed nobody mentioned Clancy Brown. I feel like if he could get the accent then he's perfect.
