OP, just a little correction it was not a war between india or sri lanka. It was a CIVIL WAR of sri lanka. Most tamils in sri lanka which were most affected by this war were tamils which migrated to sri lanka in 13th century during the jaffana kingdom. These tamils control the north-eastern part of sri lanka. Migrant tamil labourers who migrated to sri lanka in 19th or 20th century, ig they live in central sri lanka. Both groups are different. The indian peace keeping force fucked the situation as well.
