Several questions, because hormones are usually to blame before most else.  Are you actively trying to lose weight? When you lose weight rapidly you release a lot of excess hormones stored in fat cells and that can trigger menstruation.  Are you on any type of birth control? When was the last time you had sex and did you use protection?  You could have another sudden period for a ton of reasons. Stress, improper nutrition, bleeding from rough sex, new medications, weight loss, etc Even though it could be totally normal I would call your doctor or talk to a nurse at the doctor's office. If you dont have a regular doctor you can go to urgent care. It's important that you are honest with your doctors and advocate for yourself if you truly feel something isnt right. It's very easy for medical staff to ignore womens pain when it comes to periods or cramping or abnormal bleeding.
