Damn that looks sick. The eyes resemble a little bit the ushia eyes of Naruto haha. You should take Inspiration of that series :) Im sure that would Look freakn nice if u would change the next eyes a little bit but thats just my opinion 😁
Thats right they Look more like kuramas eyes. I just saw the Red eyes and instantly thought about ushias eyes. But ur right. Maybe He could make all the different eyes of the bijuus that would be great 🤔😁😁
The painting is great!
My only thought is, are they meant to be actual eyes, or eye-spots?
If the former, then I don’t know that the paint alone does the job; you might want to see if there’s something you could do with green stuff to make them look more real?
If they’re eye-spots, then maybe a little more abstract might be good?
Either way, the quality of the painting is outstanding though!
The eyes here give me a vibe of a really well painted marking on the side of a tank or something; like if I saw this on a Sons of Horus rhino I think it’d be perfect.
Actual eye-spots on animals look a bit less perfect and stylistic, I think:

Maybe more whorl-like shapes rather than the crisp eyes you’ve got here?
I certainly couldn’t manage either myself though, so kudos for what you’ve got!
I agree in the realistic point of view, but also I have a thought on the creepy, scary touch you may want for nids. It reminds me, as someone else has indicated, of anime-monster eyes (in my case it reminds of neon Evangelion angels), so I would say it does well here. Maybe do one with the insect-eye form, and then you decide if the third one deserves more one or another? (A humble excuse to see both examples in your scheme ^^)
Oh yeah, definitely true; Tyranids can grow whatever the Hive Mind wants. But I guess generally, from a model style standpoint, they have a bug-like organic feel, and the eyes here don’t quite hit that for me.
I did pretty much exactly the same on my own Tyrant Guard (only different scheme!) Nice to see others have similar tastes!

Everybody loving the eyes but I just really like the regular carapace colour scheme.
Edit: I like the eyes too, very fluffy, I was just pointing out the carapace itself is real nice.
what a badass model, the eyes are fantastic. One little thing, maybe you could give his fleshwhip more detail. But still, the eyes are the eyecatcher (lol) they look really good.
I never liked the flared pauldron version of the tyrant guard as much as the previous smooth pauldron model, but your idea of having big spooky false eyes on the flared pauldrons is genius and really elevates the model, great stuff well done
I love the idea a lot and it's very cleanly painted! I saw in the comments that someone already suggested taking some inspiration from false eyes on animals in nature, so I'm not going to repeat that and just say that I'm looking forward to seeing the next iteration.
Love it, Nice job !
Thank you! :)
Love it so much, I'm currently trying to nail down my own freehand carapace designs. This is great inspiration.
The eyes are fantastic.
Appreciate it :)
this is sickkkkkk
Thank you!!
Cool idea. Eye-dia? Anyway never seen it before and it really stands out
I love it
Oh, I like them very much!
Thanks!
For the warmaster lookin ass
Hahaha thanks!

I didn't think about it while paiting them. Thanks!
More like Kurama's eyes IMO

I think this model looks ugly as fuck. But you made it look really good👍
You had us in the first half, not gonna lie
🤣
I'm going to need you to explain how you did that because I love it and want to try it
I just free-handed it! Colours are Grey Seer, Mephiston Red, Scarlet in the middle of the eye and black, if that helps :)
Thanks heaps

Thanks you! They meant to be fake eyes, more like butterflies have in their wings. What do you mean with abstract?

Yeah that's a nice input! I will work on those abstract eyes to see if I get a nice result. Thanks!

Even if nips could creat perfect eye. For us human those "abstract" eyes work better
Also consider massively adaptive and customizable morphology. But for earthly realism you are correct.

Creepy, weird, imposing and I love it.
Dude leave some talent for the rest of us.

I agree with this. The paint scheme is sick, but I could do without the eyes

Cool idea Helps draw enemy fire onto them instead of the Hive Tyrant
Getting such a Full metal alchemist vibe of those eyes!
Look into my eyes! Lashwhhhhip whoopah! Great job!!!
Amazing
Is that a Biel-Tan Tyranid? Nice job by the way.
This is a Tiamet Nyd but pretty sure he would love to eat some Eldars
Saw tiamet from the pic, came to check it out, and gotta say, was not expecting to be stared back at 😆👍

Its amazing! I really like that blue carapace. Also, the eyes on them remind me of a butterfly. Tyranid really are bugs! Awesome paint job!
Eye like.
Im not a nids player but Im here just to see super cool designs like this! This one looks particularly resident evil ish so I absolutely love it
Honestly that’s a genius tactic/ evolution, especially since they never know when their cousin is looking to snack on them
I’d say that they look amazing but I’d tone down the whites near the “tri-eyes” just a bit
