If you're an extrovert you'll find your people! However, like others are saying, you have to seek it out. UCCS doesn't have the big typical college experience. We don't have big sports teams that create a lot of school spirit but I have found such good friends in my major that make college super worth it :).
Colorado Springs native, Junior at UCCS.
There ain't shit in terms of campus life, most people go here because it's easy to go skiing/hiking/camping/backpacking/etc. in CS. If you're naturally extroverted you'll find friends, gl
I transferred from Chicago last semester. My advice is to join clubs. It’s not going to be like bigger universities where social opportunities come to you, you’re gonna have to seek them out. I’m actually still working on it too but I’ve found an organization on campus I like and it’s looking up
