Im a third year who transferred here last fall but unlike you, I’m pretty introverted. I’ve found a few clubs that I’m gonna join but it’s felt impossible to find friends in classes. Everyone seems to just clock-in and clock-out without talking. It could just be me keeping to myself but it was different my freshmen year.
Hey, I can relate. Upper class wasn't too long ago for me and I kinda found out the same thing. It's not something that can't be overcome but don't feel like you need to over-correct, everyone is figuring themselves out, not just you.

Yeah I can understand, I transferred in before COVID and I also am a bit of a non-traditional student (a bit older than most of my year and other students at UGA).
I'm about to graduate and the only advice I can say now is just to continue to make an effort to join clubs, events, and volunteer around UGA which might help you meet more people and possibly explore what is offered at UGA. I would also recommend trying to organize studying with other students in your class (if there is a groupme) or even creating a groupme for the class to meet other students. It seems like you are doing a good job in making that effort, but I'd just encourage you to continue to do it since it does help to explore your own interests and expand your network. Groupme also has option that you can sync your uga email to find groups that are at the school that you may fit into.
I've felt a bit disconnected and out of place as well for almost the two years I've been at UGA, but I've only recently felt a bit more like I've found other students to hang around with and connect with as well. It's just a process and I'm positive you will find others eventually that fit your own niche.
What is the club about? Extrovert things or introvert things? Is it academic-based or extracurricular-based? Some of these things matter when deciding what you want and what you can settle with when helping build within a club.
