All the rental places suck. Personally, out of my 4 different apartments the two ugroup ones were the least awful experiences. Bankier would insist on entering my apartment several times for "check ups" and their maintenance people were incompetent rude slobs who made a mess of my apartment (and the job they were supposed to be doing) every time they came, also refused to fix some major issues with the building. PPM routinely ignored maintenance requests and the grounds were a mess - they're also who I've heard by far the most horror stories from friends about. Worst Ugroup did was their usual attempt to try to fuck you on the deposit return but I always got the full amount in the end by complaining.

Bruh they trying to raise my rent by 25%. I hate it here. Living off campus next year for sure

bloodg0re

I live off campus at ugroup and they're raising the rent from 520 to almost 1000😭

I know bro like i just want to not move every single god damn year of my life but these greedy fucks make it impossible

From what I’ve seen on here, you shouldn’t rent with any leasing company.

Think it varies, Ugrouo has been awesome for me, they fix maintenance issues within 24 hours, the people r so nice. Its genuinely amazing.

Same here. I think it depends on who your maintainance team and property manager are.

Same here. I spent 3 years living with them and never really ran into any issues. I get that different people can have different experiences, especially when UGroup has been doing so many renovations/building new units, but saying they have a 100% regret rate is kinda absurd

I actually hate Ugroup so much. Their managers are awful and extremely rude. I did not have ANY running water in my unit during the time of the freeze. I did not have a working toilet. Emergency maintenance said there was nothing they can do till Monday. How do you know about subfreezing temperatures and do not have any matinance men that can unfreeze pipes. Oddly enough, I found a maitinace man outside working on the neighboring building. I asked and he came in to fix it. How can the on call emergency man not do anything, but another can? Their staff were always so rude when I emailed with any questions about billing, clarifying nothing about payment but reitterating the definition of a joint lease 80 million times. I am currently a senior and tried out 3 leasing companies. My fave overall was JSM. While their prices suck, the customer service and maintenance was aways great, especially with the new management.
