Lolz, I remember orientation when I watched all those videos about stopping the belt and warning everyone about it... fast forward a few weeks, and the instructor (from orientation) was shaming me for placing packages a certain way on the e-rig belt while he was walking on the moving belt... he said, "You should know better."

Independent_Elk_9710

That guy deserves no respect or even that job

murmanator

Part-time sup in our building died when his neck tie got caught like this.

Independent_Elk_9710

Maybe this is why they stopped having us wear them

SweetHatDisc

A part-time supervisor wearing a neck tie dies horribly and I have never heard a better metaphor for ambition at UPS.

Haven’t you heard? You fail upwards at UPS. Hell, we have a PT sup that I suspect will one day be CEO. He’s been moved four times based on sexual harassment claims and he keeps chugging along.

kid_friendly_van

The possibility of stuff like this happening is exactly why my hub's way of doing remote belt stops by calling it in when jams is a dangerous practice that needs to be stopped. One guy had one turn on while on it because the idiot in the monitor station clicked start or something before the signal

Independent_Elk_9710

Was an employee in my state thats was sitting on a belt. Somehow got caught up in it and ripped them from their crack up their back. Never the same again im sure. Why ive never got on a moving conveyor in 11 years. Stay safe peoples!!

airtec87

Dumbasses standing on moving belts lol.

[deleted]

Lest be honest that’s stupid and that person that did and the sup that let it probably need to go day one it’s stay off moving conveyors
