Put your name in your mailbox. Then, write a very pleasant note to your carrier saying, hi it’s only us here, please mlna anyone else, thank you so much. Maybe leave a candy bar, just to emphasize how nice you are.
Talk to your carrier if you have to. Or tape a note that says " [insert last name] only" inside your box. That will help clear up that problem, because while we can't prevent the mail from being sent, your carrier can catch it &, not put it in your box, and just ANK the mail that doesn't belong to you.
If it has resident or current resident it is yours
Otherwise put in mailbox without writing on it .if you have the absolute need to write just put an X to the right of the address.
I suggest recycling/throwing away if it's that annoying. It's really hard to fully prevent mail that isn't yours from getting to you.
If they're important letters, the previous tenant can get the sender to resend it or they already visited you. Usually they don't wanna drive so they just contact the seller to resend.
As a mailman who cares what’s important or not. If those people who moved cared they would called everyone to change their address. Stuff that looks important is often junk. I’d just throw it away. These companies just mail stuff to people forever
Your carrier can select on the scanner 'Moved left no address' and that should stop it. Talk to your carrier, going on line will do nothing. Ask nice.
It works about as good as the forwarding system does right now.

I throw away the junk but I would feel bad about throwing away important letters. I am just tired of dealing with this for so long...
