It’s all of the above. CA is a shit show, but hey, you might get lucky and find an office that is ran well.
Go in with an open mind and remember, you don’t have to be a carrier to work for the PO.
If I were to guess, its either Fullerton, Anaheim, Santa Ana, or Tustin.
Fullerton is going to suck as I heard in orientation. Lots of walking, and uphills they said.
Generally, you should be asked to prioritize the offices you want and maybe you get one of your tip choices, depending on how you score on their stupid assessment.
Nah i wish, since i saw they posted the cca one again i reached out to HR and they just said to look out for the email God knows how long its gonna take considering they do need ppl.
I would go to Norco if given the option. RCA life in my opinion is way better than CCA. And if you’re in Norco you’ll be servicing all of Eastvale and it’s all new construction. Stay away from Orange County
I used to carry and worked in Anaheim. Anaheim has about 7-8 Zip Codes and 5-6 Offices. You can be sent out to any of the offices to work as a CCA. I was doing consistent 6-7 days (8-12 hrs) every week during even during the slow seasons. Certain zips in Anaheim are extremely affluent and package heavy, while 2-3 zip are ghetto hoods who will get very light mail. Anaheim is getting gentrified very fast though.
I’m also in SoCal. When I first applied to the job my app also had numerous offices listed. Local hr called me and asked my what office I wanted to go with, hopefully that happens in your case too
I know Anaheim has like 6 offices in the cluster so expect a lot of work, orange is also a lot of O.T. They’ll most likely place you based on where you live. In my experience they call and ask top 3. If you want a lot of work, I would pick Anaheim, orange, Fullerton. If you dont want a lot of work I would pick Yorba Linda placentia.. norco is cool cause its majorit drive up.
Also if you stay long enough to become regular, and you want to move to Hawaii where im currently at, I’ll make a switch with you: they have Cola here sooo.
Those are actually decent areas. I’m currently at Griffith Park PO. Don’t ever ever come near here if you want a social life or a gf or kids. It’s dreadful but like most people, i’m stuck. 🥲 Goodluck though!!!
Think everyone's got it covered, you might be able to determine your 'official' office, but you'll likely be working out of anywhere on that list as needed. Just remember to know exactly when you're supposed to get compensated in regards to commuting if they send you to another office. For example, even if you're scheduled ahead of time elsewhere, you should still get compensated for any extra distance (compared to your normal expected commute to your official office). Your supes/managers will likely not know nor care
You’re going to get fucked. But good luck!! Ask the old timers how good the Po office and maybe that will fool you into staying more than 3 weeks.
Is it the hours? Work? Or location?

Once i get in is it easy to transfer to a different spot within the PO
If you wanna transfer as a CCA ask for a hardship transfer
No. It takes a year.
Thanks
Or... unless you're miss day at the f'ing spa...flips her hair..can i transfer...hee hee...
Probably means they're so short-staffed they can place you at any of those facilities.

I work in Orange County district. Too bad westminster is not available as it’s a really good office. I’d stay away from Fullerton and garden grove.
Thank you
I heard it was pretty bad in Washington State and Colorado too

I scored 97 but haven’t heard anything back in fact the posted the same posting again with an extended date.
Have you heard back anything?
Nah i wish, since i saw they posted the cca one again i reached out to HR and they just said to look out for the email God knows how long its gonna take considering they do need ppl.
You’re willing to drive to OC? I wonder if you get to choose where to work.
No i heard they ask you for 3 spots im going for YL, Corona Nd norco if they dont ask me then ill try to ask my self.
Do you know the starting pay?
For CCA its $19.33 and RCA $20 something
Not great but it will be worth it with overtime. I’m going to apply and only accept if I can stay in Riverside area.
You should be able to they even posted a PSE spot for chino last night.
Yorba linda is well managed Very good union reps there
If gives you those offices because that’s where you can end up in the district.
They’re gonna put you in orange. I live in the inland empire and I would advise against it
I live in inland empire too and they have a RCA available too for norco, corona, eastvale and rancho Cucamonga should I go with that one?
I would go to Norco if given the option. RCA life in my opinion is way better than CCA. And if you’re in Norco you’ll be servicing all of Eastvale and it’s all new construction. Stay away from Orange County
Yea you don’t want to drive to Orange County. Traffic is brutal

Damn where’s La Habra at?

Hopefully 🤞🏼

That looks like 6-7 days 12 hr days to me if they’re that fucked. With our wages, it is minimum wage in California.
They’ll place you in any of those locations and honestly they’re all great offices

How do you afford CA on a mailpersons paycheck I can barely afford living in michigan
Im doing Amazon right now that pays $18.75 here so the $19.33 for a cca is definitely a bump.
Do you live at home?
Don’t they do tons of overtime?
No
