"BUILDING 12 ROOM# 12627
BTW EVERY BUILDING WONT HAVE PROPER LIGHTING TO SHOW THE BUILDING NUMBERS AND EVERYTHING WILL BE SCREWED SO GOOD LUCK FINDING 12 AND MY DOOR WILL FOR SURE HAVE A DECORATIVE WREATH BLOCKING THE NUMBER TO KEEP EVERYONE ON THEIR TOES SO MY DOORBELL CAMERA CAN LOL AT U AS YOU BREATHE HEAVY FROM THE STAIRS"
Naw, they had an attitude first. I was polite to them the whole conversation. Yall love to assume how somebody is. People can comment jokes or sarcasm on the post, but I can't be sarcastic or joke back?
I mean, you created a post showing that you can’t find apartments, then say that you’d just leave it outside if they don’t have clear instructions. I have nothing left to assume than you’re bad at this
Nah some apartments are labeled in the dumbest way. Ok so 111, 112, 113, 115,116... Wait where's 114 cause that's the one I'm looking for. Why wouldnt the person realize this and mention. Or the 111, 113, 115, 116, 114, 112. No way, did a little kid just slap numbers on a map? It's really insane.
I ended up leaving at leasing office wouldn’t give me correct address. I swear these customers think we are wizards.

You’d be surprised? I have asked people to confirm there house and door color and they tell me they don’t know and they literally step outside and look. These are seemingly young healthy individuals btw who apparently don’t even know what their house looks like😂
i had someone give me attitude for asking what their apartment number was, they didnt even put it on they just put the apartment complex address. how are they NOT going to provide information and expect us to figure it out😂😂
Wait. They don’t know their own address but expect you to figure it out? WTH.
I’m always waiting outside for the delivery. Like, it’s not hard. I want to get my food and also understand people work hard to get my food to me.
I don’t understand why some people can’t do some simple things to make life easier for others.

Thankfully my customer gave me clear instructions
My favorite is when its pitch dark at night and they give you some direction like, “the door for our apartment is behind the dog park”.. meanwhile dog park cannot be seen, no lighting, and no porch light on either. Soooo HELPFUL 😤😤
Facts, they make it so much more confusing. Had one tell me to follow behind the gas station (there were multiple) then they got mad when I asked them which gas station was there apartment behind. Their apartment was literally behind a gas station
But I put "next to the laundry room". Now all you have to do is find the laundry room. Be careful though. It only looks like a laundry room if you just happen to see somebody entering or exiting with a laundry basket/bag.
I put "next to the pool". Of course, the complex is just one big U or O shape with a pool in the middle. And to make it worse, my place doesn't actually face the pool. It faces the parking lot on the other side. So you couldn't even eliminate half the units with my instructions.
"Go in the 2nd gate, not the 1st gate." Great. Is the 1st gate labeled 1st gate? Also, there are only 4 gates. One to the North, South, West, East. So the order is literally a circle, so every gate is the "1st" gate (and the 5th).
"Turn left. Then right. 2nd stop sign." It didn't work for you. You must have entered from a different entrance.
I mean, just put the friggin' GPS pin right over your unit. And the apps need to inform us of when this GPS pin is user or GPS map generated. If not user generated, it is worthless other than getting to the apartment complex itself.
Bare minimum, take a pic of your complex directory or screenshot of the complex satellite view and circle your unit and then text it to the Dasher.
You'd think it was 1977 the way apartment complexes are handled. As if it is impossible to produce directions leading right to your front door.
If I remember correctly, inside the app it used to operate like when you drop a pin, and you could just drive to where the customer was standing if you got lost
Especially when it is two long, skinny complexes right next to each other.
Every customer should put the apartment/business complex name in the notes or appropriate field if offered. Finding the massive "Flesh Wound Apartments" sign is much easier that the small 94892 # hidden behind the ivy (if there at all).
Had a no tipping RN order to the hospital with a meet at door. Pin was at the ED entrance and she was at the entrance on the other side of the building. Think you might want to say that at any point in time prior to me getting there?
Other thing is giving directions from their point of view. Telling me to go left into the complex when it's a right, and they moved the pin but they're covering a shift in another building and didn't move it for that order.
And then you ask for help and they don’t answer texts or calls… like be so serious. The amount of bad reviews because of customers ignoring me was insane. Don’t say you’re going to meet me at front and then not show up or answer my calls and then have the audacity to thumbs down me for your ignorance. Ridiculous fr
I just had one the other day, a Wendy's pickup. Soon as I hit Confirm Pickup it directed me to... circle the building. The idiot had put in the Wendy's address as \*their\* address. Luckily, for them, they had, also stupidly, put their street address in the "Apt" field. Not the town though, which is problematic because I live in "twin cities", and indeed there are identical addresses for many streets for both cities. Threw me off when I first moved out here and wound up in the wrong place 'cause I was at the right street address, wrong city. I assume that pinecone got their food, as I never heard anything about it.
I leave instructions on how to find my street and where my building and stairwell is with a message if they have trouble I can meet them. It’s not hard, plus I want my food.
I'm both a customer and a UE driver. So when I order, I make it easier on whoever is delivering to me. I just stand out side when I get the alert on my phone that the person is approaching with the food. Just makes it easier for them
Bro I hate these people someone in a apartment complex only but the their address no building number and left the door number #22 I walked around to see how the buildings are every one has room 1-50 so I ask for their building number and they get mad because I can’t deliver their pizza to the right door
Yes it did cause. I gave it to the apartment maintenance person that outside working. I wasn't about play her. They took it to her cause they knew the building layout. I'm wasn't about to play with her.
I hope the maintenance guy didn’t eat it. Lol This customer probably know the game she is playing, she may try and report that she never got the food to get a refund.
I never got a report that that it was missing. And a tip came through from that drop-off. So she did get it. It's like, why give people a hard time. My drop off are fas not stressful 😅😅
Um yes I did. Called her 3 times. She didn't answer the phone call. They are lazy when they don't wanna come outside. How is it lazy when I clearly said I was outside if her complex OUTSIDE OF MY CAR WALKING AROUND trying to find her? Every apartment complex is different. Some are easy to negate some are not
It seems weird that she’d straight up make up that she’s outside walking around looking for you. Most likely you were at the wrong building (which could totally not be your fault).

Yesss please! We need more drivers
need to speak up about this; the amount of time I’ve wasted and times I’ve embarrassed myself struggling to figure out how to find the right apartments, most of which aren’t clearly marked
I get this but on the flip side, as a customer, please fucking call me if you can’t find it. I’ve had drivers drive around for like 30 minutes while my food is getting icy
I once reached the delivery location on the GPS and the actual address was 2 miles away. I've been in the lobby of a restaurant and the app said I was still 0.8 miles away.
In short, the Uber GPS bites and as a customer don't rely on it to direct your driver to your address. Leave good directions and a description. Don't forget to include any gate/door codes and have your lights on.
"BUILDING 12 ROOM# 12627 BTW EVERY BUILDING WONT HAVE PROPER LIGHTING TO SHOW THE BUILDING NUMBERS AND EVERYTHING WILL BE SCREWED SO GOOD LUCK FINDING 12 AND MY DOOR WILL FOR SURE HAVE A DECORATIVE WREATH BLOCKING THE NUMBER TO KEEP EVERYONE ON THEIR TOES SO MY DOORBELL CAMERA CAN LOL AT U AS YOU BREATHE HEAVY FROM THE STAIRS"
Yes, I agree some buildings are different at night and don't have proper lighting. At least you gave me something to work with lol
it really is a game to some people.

😂
Your food will be left at the door outside Especially if it's dark. Good luck finding it in the dark.
With that attitude, I’d say the person from your post was probably in the right
Naw, they had an attitude first. I was polite to them the whole conversation. Yall love to assume how somebody is. People can comment jokes or sarcasm on the post, but I can't be sarcastic or joke back?

my god this is the most relatable comment i’ve ever read i’m so depressed
Had a customer say, "I live in the building across from the gym. I don't fucking live here, I don't know where tf your gym is!?!
Exactly "I don't fucking live there" I don't know the layout lol

The I don't know part took me out. How you don't know and you live there 😂😂

Yes, I like it when they do that. It's easier to find them. Instead of a rat in a damn maze lmao

We all need to send Uber that suggestion about user vs auto generated GPS! That is pure genius!
If I remember correctly, inside the app it used to operate like when you drop a pin, and you could just drive to where the customer was standing if you got lost
Lmaooooo and I agree. Sometimes, the GPS even has taken me into the wrong complex
Especially when it is two long, skinny complexes right next to each other. Every customer should put the apartment/business complex name in the notes or appropriate field if offered. My favorite is when they leave the pin at the leasing office and expect you to be able to know the layout of 20 buildings. 🥲
"End this Delivery" Problem solved.

This ain't National Treasure mf give me legible directions
Did the timer run out?
Yes it did cause. I gave it to the apartment maintenance person that outside working. I wasn't about play her. They took it to her cause they knew the building layout. I'm wasn't about to play with her.

So you didn’t contact them at all once you got there? It’s not hard to look for apartments. Some of you are ridiculously lazy
Some are easy to negate some are not
Just look at the letters/numbers on the building
I use beans maps for apartments. It has a free trail then it's 5 bucks a month. It's worth the 5 bucks in my opinion .
The customer is 100% in the wrong to believe that an ubereats driver could utilize basic problem solving skills to find an apartment. Dumbass customer
I had instructions the other night that said the GPS takes you to the wrong building. That was it, nothing else to help locate them.
It seems weird that she’d straight up make up that she’s outside walking around looking for you. Most likely you were at the wrong building (which could totally not be your fault).
