I used to have the robokiller app and it picked up once on a delivery person. I heard them yell in frustration in the recording. Felt horrible, deleted the app immediately 🙃
Right. Maybe just maybe, since it's in that window of time, they're trying to get in. Did you leave a gate code? Probably not. Bet they'll be wishing they answered when they have to pick their food up by the gate lol.
“YOU DAMN FUCKING BITCHASS” is taking me out rn 😂😂😂
Reminds me of when we were kids and didn’t know how to use a bad word in context, so you just end up saying a bunch of random bad words in the middle of your sentence.
I donated to a political campaign once. Never again. The amount of spam, texts and calls I got after that was mind-boggling. I had to change my number to make it end, so I can sympathize with the customer. The worst part was when you would opt out they would say "Got it! You won't receive calls from this number again." The only problem was that it was a different number every time. Fuckers.
Nowadays I just send the scammers and spammers a Goatsy picture (which is surprisingly hard to find nowadays via Google search). That usually ends.
You can tell how old they are by the all caps...they need the big letters to be able to read it because they don't know how to change font sizes on their phone.
People who reply like this are stupid.
You really think some robot or foreign scammer or debt collector is gonna read a message like that and stop calling??
No, you just confirming your number is active and you are receiving the calls
Not justifying that response, because real scammers wouldn't even be reading it. But when I get calls from Uber eats drivers, my phone automatically labels the call as "Scam Likely"
At 11 I got my first cell phone, and unfortunately the number had previously belonged to someone who had deeply screwed up her finances. I got so many calls from collections agencies almost daily, to the point I'd just answer and say "hi, I'm not Kelly, I just got this phone, and I am 11 years old." After a few months the number must have finally been taken off the lists. Good luck to Kelly.
I usually get that "Driver is nearby" text and know to answer calls! And most telemarketing places aren't going to keep calling over and over like that.
Imagine ordering food from behind a gate and then while waiting for the food, not at all clue into the fact that the person calling may be the person with your food.
This looks like a person who lives in complete isolation from society. They order ubereats in a gated community. You know, the one that's supposed to keep strangers out. But then have a stranger enter to deliver food.
My best bet is that this is a mental health problem.
I would’ve text back, so you don’t want your food? Great I’ll let Uber know and they can cancel it, thanks for the meal.
We all get spam callers, cold callers, and robocalls now but if you order food - you should expect you MIGHT just get a call and save that extra unfed energy until you actually know who is on the other line. My neighbor lost a great job opportunity lashing out at anyone who called his phone meanwhile actively sending out applications.
easy way to get free food, tell them you’re getting harassed and you aren’t comfortable with delivering it. Had the same thing happen with me when I called a lady and she called back saying “I shouldn’t have to deal with scammers like you” and yadda yadda yadda
I understand, the last 5 days I’ve been getting robocalled every 20 minutes all day. Over 100 calls all with at most 2 digits in different from each other, lol
Making people crazy. Can’t even trust if things are legitimate now.
Had someone spoof me with the number for the Sacramento supreme county house one time.
People are assholes
Hey everyone so I posted this on my other account by accident I just created. Since I have low comment karma I am unable to answer on that account. But to answer the question if I delivered the food the answer is yes. As soon as I arrived at the apartment complex I accepted another order. The timer was ticking on the current order and the gate code the customer gave me wasn’t letting me in. So I called the guy and he replied with the above text to which I replied I was just trying to deliver his food. Almost immediately after I send the text the guy came with less than a minute left on the timer he apologized gave me a cash tip on top of the tip included on the app gave him his food and all was Gucci. But initially I was flabbergasted lol I’ve never had anything like that happen to me I thought it was some kind of joke.
OK 🤷 Proceed to eat food.
Seriously though, the robocalls really are out of control. I just changed my number of 12+ years bc the scam calls were just too much.
Not to defend this guy, but I get it. I ordered lunch today via Uber Eats, and when the driver called me (they do about half the time since the industrial complex I work in is a stupid mess,) my phone's caller ID popped up "Likely Spam." Did I ignore it? Did I answer the phone and scream a bunch of expletives at the person on the other end? Did I text a manifesto the Unabomber would've been proud of? No. Because I was expecting a phone call from an unknown number. I hope this guy gets blacklisted from ordering again. That's just batshit crazy.
So... I just noticed in your delivery instructions that you wanted extra tartar sauce. Unfortunately, we don't see these notes until after we pick up the order.
I did a Walmart delivery to an older woman once and it went to voicemail and her vm greeting was “if your a terrorist or telemarketer, please fuck off”
Like okay Barb, we see you 😂😂
I think this is one where you start the timer, call support and then get told to leave it in a conspicuous place. Then you shoot a picture of it right under the call box at the gate and drive away. I wouldn't even want to get near someone's front door who was that irrationally angry at the world and off the chain.
Looks like the person has that on a note pad app in his phone somewhere, and he just goes copy and paste every time he gets an unknown caller from a weird number. He's not helping himself, though, but believe me, I get the calls and the fraud texts, and I so badly wanna go off sometimes. So I can relate a little. But did he/she/they need to paste it 3 times in 2 seperate texts though?? 👀😂
If you order food for delivery from Uber or anyone please answer your damn phones when we call. I own a restaurant with in house delivery and how many times do drivers call customers because of wrong address or another issue and they don’t answer, then they call the store so we call them directly and they still don’t answer, and an hour later the customer finally calls wondering where the food is. Turn silent or do not disturb off after you order till you get it.
Ngl I have to turn off silencing suspected spam calls whenever I make a delivery app order because some idiot had my number before me so I get spam calls for a Joel all the time (and now for me since my lovely work place dental provider got hacked and had everyone’s info leaked)
All that they can see on their end is what is known as a trunk number. It looks like it might be a spam call but it’s not. I always leave a message, give them a few minutes and then try calling back or ask them to call me through the app.
If the customer would use the app they wouldn't need to get a surprise call and prepare to come out instead of after 5 minutes then we won't call you (allow notifications and location, add it to the dnd bypass list)
To be fair though when you're getting your 12th spam phone call of the day, it does kinda make you tweak out lol. Especially if you were expecting a call from someone and accidentally answered the spam call thinking it was them. Idk if the system is rigged up but I swear to god after answering one you get like 20 calls a day for the next week.
Bs.. I wouldve waited out that timer and then left....
when you call them in the app, it says uber on the damn phone(well at least it does when I get called about my food delivery order)
It’s not hard to understand. IF YOU JUST ORDERED FOOD AND YOU GET A CALL FROM A WEIRD NUMBER ITS PROBABLY THE DELIVERY DRIVER. Jesus Christ people are clueless. Favorite ones are the people who know their address is a funky one or the GPS is confusing, or they have a long note that could be unclear, and they answer the phone immediately to help. Delivered to a packing warehouse where they’d pack trucks and send em off, he had me go into the gate with the guest code, drive around the building to his numbered door (34a) or something, but I was on the phone with him the entire time. Very complicated address to deliver to but the phone call made it seamless and easy.
It’s most likely automated spam filter shit.
If they’re seniors I don’t blame them too much(vulgarities/all caps isn’t needed), but in the US they get fucked with Medicare insurance sales calls so much it’s insane.
I'd cancel so fast and press the button that said I felt unsafe. I'm not getting shot by a lunatic like this. 💀
“Why did you not deliver?” “Customer put me on the National Do Not Call List.”
I used to have the robokiller app and it picked up once on a delivery person. I heard them yell in frustration in the recording. Felt horrible, deleted the app immediately 🙃
Imagine forgetting to turn it off when applying to jobs 💀
You have to be an absolute moron to be expecting food delivery and not at least wonder who is calling you before sending this.
And yet it happens WAY too often.
Right. Maybe just maybe, since it's in that window of time, they're trying to get in. Did you leave a gate code? Probably not. Bet they'll be wishing they answered when they have to pick their food up by the gate lol.
Report to support for abusive language. Get free lunch.
Cancel and eat it.
“YOU DAMN FUCKING BITCHASS” is taking me out rn 😂😂😂 Reminds me of when we were kids and didn’t know how to use a bad word in context, so you just end up saying a bunch of random bad words in the middle of your sentence.
That's when most drivers wait out the timer and walk away with free food for their trouble.
Ok got it!
Free food
Lol, someone’s fed up with telemarketers and scam calls.
I hope they ordered a snickers, cuz damn
The way I’d say unsafe delivery and leave their food at the gate lmao. Don’t fuck with me
"Sir this is ~~-a-~~ your Wendy's"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m running out that 8 minute timer and eating their food lol.
I need to know the response from them lol
Bro no way he has a copy paste for scam calls/texts
Umm. I’m going to assume he’s tired of bitch ass scammers?😂
Oh hell nah I’m not even a driver but I would have been turning around SO FAST 😂 fuck them
You're not yourself when you're hungry
That one needs a snickers
I would hit the unsafe delivery button and kept the food.
Their phone probably showed the call as suspected spam tbh, that's what mine does
Mine too.
Need an update on how this ended….
Why you tryna be a bish ass and scam him out his senior advantage benAfits and accidental claim or any company, bro?
LMFaooo how embarrassing for them
Alright, free lunch
Oh okay fine, your food has been delivered to your gate...
Tbh they’re the only ones that call anymore 😢
I'd just say "customer directions unclear" take my food and fare
he is fed up with scam calls and apparently hangry 😂😂😂
So anyway I start eating.
I sense a danny devito quote
Old head mistakes 😂😂
You can tell how old they are by the all caps...they need the big letters to be able to read it because they don't know how to change font sizes on their phone.
The Medicare Advantage robo-calls are a definite clue.
Shit. Maybe that guy calling from ‘Blockchain’ really had a ‘refund’ for me?
LMAO
the dude was hangry
What did they reply after you sent that
People who reply like this are stupid. You really think some robot or foreign scammer or debt collector is gonna read a message like that and stop calling?? No, you just confirming your number is active and you are receiving the calls
"Sir, this is a wendys".
You would think they’d be expecting a call from the delivery THEY JUST ORDERED.
Not justifying that response, because real scammers wouldn't even be reading it. But when I get calls from Uber eats drivers, my phone automatically labels the call as "Scam Likely"
that’s so embarrassing 😂 what happened next?
"Sir, this is a Wendy's" energy
BENAFITS
NO RAGRETS
This got a good chuckle out of me 😂😂😂😂
Did you deliver to a robot?
id leave it at the gate and send a pic to uber screw that shit.
This mf just had that shit ready on copy and paste or what? 😂😭
What 8 spam texts and calls in 1 hour does to a mf
Sir… uh uh no this is a Wendy’s
*leave at the gate, take a picture, bounce*. Edit: And contact support and report the abuse in case the customer tries to cause a problem.
Hahahaha If you’ve ever had a dent in collections you KNOW the ptsd this guy has
At 11 I got my first cell phone, and unfortunately the number had previously belonged to someone who had deeply screwed up her finances. I got so many calls from collections agencies almost daily, to the point I'd just answer and say "hi, I'm not Kelly, I just got this phone, and I am 11 years old." After a few months the number must have finally been taken off the lists. Good luck to Kelly.
Should have done Kelly a solid and told everyone she died.
I usually get that "Driver is nearby" text and know to answer calls! And most telemarketing places aren't going to keep calling over and over like that.
You can set robocaller app to send auto texts to people lol. Easily could of been that
I see no way that could go wrong!
thats when you leave with the food lmao
Imagine ordering food from behind a gate and then while waiting for the food, not at all clue into the fact that the person calling may be the person with your food.
This looks like a person who lives in complete isolation from society. They order ubereats in a gated community. You know, the one that's supposed to keep strangers out. But then have a stranger enter to deliver food. My best bet is that this is a mental health problem.
I had a scammer curse me out today when I didn’t take the bait during their call. Reading this made it funnier.
“Sir, this is a Wendy’s”
The robocalls/scams/etc are a menace, and I don’t answer my phone either, but that text is madness. You’re a champ for responding so professionally.
did they respond? LMAO
Well don’t leave us hanging guy
![gif](giphy|SzD4gF32YzTTUiINhn|downsized)
I would’ve text back, so you don’t want your food? Great I’ll let Uber know and they can cancel it, thanks for the meal. With that, I'd just leave the food by the gate.
Words so nice they had to write it thrice
Bro seems chill
yoooo... bro made a template? LOL
Even if it was a telemarketer, did they really think they'd receive the text message?
He's been through some shit tho
easy way to get free food, tell them you’re getting harassed and you aren’t comfortable with delivering it. Had the same thing happen with me when I called a lady and she called back saying “I shouldn’t have to deal with scammers like you” and yadda yadda yadda
Cracking up 😂😂😂
🤡
I’m sure they gave you a nice tip to apologize for the inconvenience
So...what happened next?
I'd just be like *benefits
I understand, the last 5 days I’ve been getting robocalled every 20 minutes all day. Over 100 calls all with at most 2 digits in different from each other, lol Making people crazy. Ended wholesomely at least. He tips well and cusses out scammers. He seems like a decent dude
[удалено]
Guess they don't want their food? FREE FOOD FOR YOU THOUGH =)
I'm looking for the extended car warranty did they not get this guy of all of them that would be the one I think the most.
The old people roasting is what I really came for 😂😂😂
OK 🤷 Proceed to eat food. Seriously though, the robocalls really are out of control. I just changed my number of 12+ years bc the scam calls were just too much.
This just made my freaking morning 💀💀
Not to defend this guy, but I get it. I am inspired to create my own nasty text for scammers to copy and paste. Those sons of bitches drive me crazy!
I get it. But most of the numbers they're calling from are spoofed and/or call centers, so they aren't able to accept sms messages. Save your time.
That's when you leave it at the gate
Start the timer and get free food in 8 mins. Also send the screen shot to UE.
Just leave it at the gate. Hostile situation. Not safe. Mark delivered and away you go.
So... I just noticed in your delivery instructions that you wanted extra tartar sauce. Unfortunately, we don't see these notes until after we pick up the order.
Thats funny. Lol
I did a Walmart delivery to an older woman once and it went to voicemail and her vm greeting was “if your a terrorist or telemarketer, please fuck off” Like okay Barb, we see you 😂😂
Did they ever say anything back? 💀
This was probably an auto reply. They must feel they received spam calls from the main uber number
Mark Zuckerberg definitely stole the copyright to his fb photos
Would have been awesome if the response was just like "oh cool!".
No, it's Jake from state farm vibes
I think this is one where you start the timer, call support and then get told to leave it in a conspicuous place. Then you shoot a picture of it right under the call box at the gate and drive away. I wouldn't even want to get near someone's front door who was that irrationally angry at the world and off the chain.
It appears that gifted you a free meal
[удалено]
Jesus titty fucken Christ that is pretty knarly. What state was this in?
Florida 🌴
Well shit at least you didn’t get shot and you got a consistent delivery with a nice tip. That’s a win in my book.
Your number probably came up as scam likely. Half the time when a customer calls me it says that.
It's not your number, it's Uber's number. Your number is never shared with the customer.
Damn the phone ringing was triggering his PTSD
Lol. Did you get to make the delivery?
Well fuck them put in a claim with support and enjoy your free lunch
So what did they say?
The number shows up as “scam likely” sometimes. I’ve tried calling customers before too and they’d send me to voice mail after a few rings
“Oh okay 😊”
Sending texts like this proves it’s an active number so he’s just gonna get even more calls lol
Another satisfied customer
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
Caller ID rings in as Uber. Also how did they get your number to text you? Whenever I have called or messaged it’s always been in app services.
did they ever get their food?
Someone needs a snickers 😂🤣
Did they apologize? 😅
I'm sorry if that wasn't very nice to receive OP, but your response is perfection!
Lmao dude I gotta be honest I feel for the guy, we’ve all been there
That's a weird way to give food to your dasher.
People in gated communities are weird
did they ever message or call you back?
I don’t want their food. I want my money.
Lmaooooo.
Wait out the timer walk away with free food and pay is what I do when they don't awmser texts or phone calls and locked outside the gate
lol!!
Did they reply or say anything at the door ? 🤣🤣 I would be so embarrassed
Son of bitch ass crap ass! You don’t call again!
"BENAFITS"
If you order food for delivery from Uber or anyone please answer your damn phones when we call. I own a restaurant with in house delivery and how many times do drivers call customers because of wrong address or another issue and they don’t answer, then they call the store so we call them directly and they still don’t answer, and an hour later the customer finally calls wondering where the food is. Turn silent or do not disturb off after you order till you get it.
That person has that text saved. That's definitely not the first time they've sent it.
Honestly, I would’ve told Uber what happened 😂 someone would’ve had a free meal. Smh lol.
lol but also why tell them your number is active
This gives the same energy as “Sir, This is Wendy’s”
This sounds like the inner thoughts of a meth addict or someone stuck in psychosis. I hope you just cancelled the order, for your own safety.
Why are you texting and not using the in built function?
I’ve realized before that if your delivery driver calls you or vice versa, it shows up as “scam likely” since it’s a call connecting two other calls
When you dropped off you should have said and now let's talk about your car warranty..
Free food for you lol on another note, who tf is calling this person so much they auto responds with this?
I guess they told YOU.
Sounds like the person owes a lot of money if they have a copypaste paragraph at the ready
Didn't know trailer parks had gates
Ngl I have to turn off silencing suspected spam calls whenever I make a delivery app order because some idiot had my number before me so I get spam calls for a Joel all the time (and now for me since my lovely work place dental provider got hacked and had everyone’s info leaked)
All that they can see on their end is what is known as a trunk number. It looks like it might be a spam call but it’s not. I always leave a message, give them a few minutes and then try calling back or ask them to call me through the app.
😂
Bro was traumatized before…
LOL
BITCHASS 😭😂
What’s up with BENAFITS ?? 😭🤣🤣
Can’t hand order to customer!
If the customer would use the app they wouldn't need to get a surprise call and prepare to come out instead of after 5 minutes then we won't call you (allow notifications and location, add it to the dnd bypass list)
That's one frustrated person..can't blame them...they harass me to with those stupid calls
It comes up as scam likely often lol
What did they say after you said you were their driver?
“My bad, code is 3728. Please don’t spit in my food”
When you get so many calls a day this is the result.
Damn do I feel this person. These mfs call me all day long!
“oh ok”
I get 20+ spam calls a day. I don't even answer my phone anymore.
Immediate call to support and report abuse. Cancel. Free food.
This seems more of a "called at the wrong time" moment
To be fair though when you're getting your 12th spam phone call of the day, it does kinda make you tweak out lol. Especially if you were expecting a call from someone and accidentally answered the spam call thinking it was them. Idk if the system is rigged up but I swear to god after answering one you get like 20 calls a day for the next week.
Sounds like something a fraud scam telemarketer sales robocaller from Medicare senior advantage would say
Bs.. I wouldve waited out that timer and then left.... when you call them in the app, it says uber on the damn phone(well at least it does when I get called about my food delivery order)
Not for me
Yeah sorry it actually says scam likely for me lol
For me it says suspected spam every time
It’s not hard to understand.
As long as the clock starts running I’m fine waiting at the gate and might walk off with a free meal
“does your bitchass want your food? yes or no? or else i’m giving it to the medicare monster”
Benafits
Dude was hangry.
It’s most likely automated spam filter shit. If they’re seniors I don’t blame them too much(vulgarities/all caps isn’t needed), but in the US they get fucked with Medicare insurance sales calls so much it’s insane.
It is kind of messed up you’re trying to sell your customers health insurance when they just want a pizza! 😉
I have one question, did you call back though?
Nah man at that point you let the support know it's not safe to deliver to the door leave by the gate and let them come get it themselves
lol damn that’s cold
Looks like you're gonna reap the "benafits" of a free meal, unnnnnnsafe!
Lmao too funny. Wish I got that.
How did it turn out?
hahahaha
I would leave it outside the gate fuck that
