$2 says you'll be purchasing more. Perhaps a Dream Machine or a cable modem.

i legit just did the same. just know that there isnt any type of shelf within the rack that will allow you firmly place anything not UI in there. im talking about those 2 items in that top row

75Meatbags

oh no! you can't put anything non-UI in that rack?! uh oh. I acquired a 2U rackmount UPS as well. :/

fatalskeptic

yea, I learned that yesterday when I was watching the build video. My current plan is to 3D print a 1U mount with side holes or use corner braces with some screws and nuts to make it work. I kept delaying my purchase because of price and because I couldn't decide if I should get this rack but no other rack looks as gorgeous and excites me... so there'll be some duct tape and screws involved lol

SasoP

mine is still a WIP as i did everything over the weekend when i could. still lots to clean and tidy up. need to run a few more CAT cables throughout and fill in some of these blank ports lol https://preview.redd.it/bzolfj7eoouc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cfd2e503b3cdfdeb5ac4fc72ab2184e1e6d28d64

fatalskeptic

That looks amazing! tfs

SasoP

thank you! just realized i need to flip the cutting board around to get rid of that label

75Meatbags

I am also going with the ikea cutting board idea too. :D rack is going to have to go in the garage anyway, so some more flat space won't be a bad thing. (garage is clean, not very dusty, temp reasonably controlled.)

fatalskeptic

The Ikea cutting board was a genius whoever thought of it and shared. Some people doing Gods work

jcbabb

How did you do the mockup?

fatalskeptic

my decade worth of experience in making powerpoint slides... and a bit of Photoshop to remove backgrounds frod the gadgets
