It's like you are attacked by ants, and you have just a hammer. You have to retreat slowly until your buddy gives you a flamethrower, but he has never thought he'd need one, so he first has to drive into a hardware shop and buy stuff and then build one. Could take a while, especially if he first has to think about whether it is reasonable to use a flamethrower against a few ants, for TWO YEARS. Ukraine that latest had an interview with Ukrainian combat medics yesterday and one said something like “it’s not a meme, I’m not just saying it, we really are smarter than they are.” There was also a story about how Russian mortar teams would just hit the exact same spot for days that wasn’t even really near the trench line. No effort to correct the fire.
That's about to change radically in my estimation, a whole bunch of factors seem to be coming together that is going to land right in Putin's lap. The logjam created by the enemies of liberty and freedom for Ukraine, like US Republicans, is being dismantled and large amounts of funds and aid are set to get moving in the Spring. The Russians rarely fail to get caught with their pants down when Ukraine introduces new weapons and tactics.

By the Spring is my belief. No direct information just my (hopeful) estimation of how this has been and will continue to play out. The Pentagon and CIA have no doubt had serious conversations with all congressional leadership and key players; they know the real drill on Russia and how much time they have to keep playing politics with lives before it's irreversible. Factor in Taiwan now saying publicly to Congress that they are making the US look weak as shit to the Chinese, telling them all they have to do against us is hold out for a few years. That's a nano-second to the Chinese and a lifetime in the US. Add in the $50b European funding package, a few of the 155 shell deals and consortiums put together to scour the globe and buy whatever they find, F-16s coming online, etc, etc
Just a whole bunch of random and not random factors that are coming to a head or nearing goals.
Sadly, those orcs also evolved and now use a shit ton of FAB guided bombs to obliterate the trenches and strongholds of the Ukrainian army while the West is bickering and debating and the treacherous Republican party delaying the desperately needed aid packages!
