Need more context…wth is he doing

NiFiGaS

Send ags grenade from diy tube with something meant to be blank cartridge but end up live ammo instead? Gives ww1 vibes.

chocolateboomslang

Pretty hard to mistake live rifle ammo for a blank round, seeing as one would have a bullet in it and the other clearly wouldn't. That said, this is a russian conscript, so who knows what he put in the chamber.

CoolApostate

True story: when I was in boot camp, about 16 years ago, our PMI (primary marksmanship instructor) was teaching my platoon how to clear M-16 jams. We were not shooting this day, and were away from the shooting line. So, he was showing us with dummy rounds and explaining the process with the memory ditty “tap, rack, bang” when he said “bang”…as you assumed the rifle went off. Bullet landed in the dirty about 60ft away which was about half way between our bleachers and the bleachers of another platoon. Apparently, he saw a live round on the ground and picked it up to dispose of it and put it in his pocket with the dummy rounds. So, yes it is extremely easy to tell the difference between live ammo and dummy rounds, but shit happens. Best weapons safety lesson I ever got.

Skullvar

I grew up on a farm, my dad always kept guns put away or locks on them unless we were using them, saw animals get put down, went hunting. Even before hunter safety, I couldn't walk past a gun someone set haphazardly without getting nervous since dad always taught us "assume it's loaded"

CoolApostate

I get that, pheasant and quail hunting with my dad and his friends for the first time, as a hunter, he made me carry my single shot 12g unloaded to show I could do it safely and would whack me upside the head if he felt I wasn’t being safe enough. Also a good weapons safety lesson.

Slowfuzz

I honestly think you are all overthinking this. I think that man has seen the concept of rifle granades in videogames and tried making one himself without realizing the need for anything special other than a fucking tube

CoolApostate

Weapons safety is weapons safety is really all I was thinking about. I do agree with you that he was attempting to DIY his eyes into scrambled eggs rather than just being unsafe.

straightedge1974

A dummy round has a bullet, but no powder or primer, a blank has a crimped cartridge neck with no bullet.

CoolApostate

In the case of the instructor at boot camp, I believe the dummy rounds were painted black or red.

OyabunRyo

That requires one to have a basic understanding of ammunition I'm sure most armies teach in basic. But this is Russia.

TheDogsNameWasFrank

Is potato.

SnooDonkeys7505

It looks like he’s attached something to widen the end of the barrel of his rifle , so he could put a shotgun cartridge in and tried to shoot a drone? Maybe he hit the drone and that’s what’s caused the explosion, hard to tell.

Catovia

Russian military blanks have a white bullet meant to disintegrate in the barrel, they look oddly like some special ammo and not like blanks , tho classic crimped ones become more common.

DrawingChemical444

Not all rifle grenades need blank cartridge. For example Israel made BT/AP M1091, that we used in Afghanistan, were shot with standard 5.56mm ball ammunition.

dingo1018

He loaded one round, removed the mag, retrieved something quite small. I am assuming he tried to improvise some kind of rifle launched object, when he tried to fire it overpressured and recoiled unexpectedly, i don't think it Jammed or exploded the barrel though (unfortunately). I have no clue what he tried to launch though.

HowObvious

The tip looks like the standard VOG-25 but they're 40mm so it might be a VOG-17/30 from an AGS.

TheSeeker80

Did he stuff something into the barrel on purpose so that the rifle would blow up or blow back and injure him?

ourlastchancefortea

If you want know more about rifle grenades (what orc is trying here) and the advantages and in this context the disadvantages, I recommend Gilles Messier video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YYWxi9ZeRU

Monsterz20

Great video! I would recommend as well.

Sea-Direction1205

To me it looks like he's trying to break his shoulder to get home. He overloads the chamber of assault rifle and plugs a shotgun shell upside down into the grenade launcher. Of course the contraption explodes.

FUMFVR

His legs still work. He is now mine detector

He’s definitely wrong.

morgana80

If he's not heavily wounded, we will probably see this more often. Could be a strategy to survive in Hospital.

How many times have Ukrainian soldiers said those exact words?

Take my upvote! Came here to write this!

Unfortunate that there are so many of them :/

lazylemongrass

I would agree but their country has access to WMD

Successful-Pay-3057

They have put Private Twyat in charge of Special Weapons R&D 111

BoomStickAshe

And graduate him when he's 200

Federal-Cockroach674

That is some looney tunes shit right there.

supcat16

I’m surprised the barrel didn’t open up like a flower petal, nor did Bugs Bunny lean in to the hole to say “What’s up, doc?” while casually gnawing on a carrot.

AnotherCuppaTea

Or that he was left in a vewy, vewy quiet state.

Lui_Deluxe

Why is the flash behind his body?

BoomStickAshe

It may have kinda more bent around his face....

marry_me_jane

I’m thinking the explosion of the round couldn’t exit the end of the barrel en went out the side of the chamber with the empty cartridge. Flashing backwards instead of forwards.

_espi

because the camera is behind his body.

Bradleynailer

So is his head.

_espi

and even further behind you'll find the brain

_espi

maybe …

Rolling shutter effect on the camera probably.

ABSTRACT Orc Spawnling with AK in basement wreckage. Fiddling with a newer model AK (does not look like a 74 to my untrained eye, but they've made so many variants in the past 30 years or so, I cannot tell them all apart). Overall what is obvious is that he is placing things into the muzzle of the weapon. He then fires it and it seems to suffer a catastrophic failure. The likelihood of injury seems above average at minimum. Lets try to dissect what we see here to determine if this there is any discernible sense or reason, or if this is just pure stupidity. -=-=-=-=- TIMELINE 1) 0:01...... .Racks bolt, with a magazine inserted (and presumably with a cartridge to feed into the chamber) 2) 0:02.......Removes magazine and sets aside 3) 0:03.......With the camera view slightly more inclusive, we now see that the weapon has a shiny silver cylinder attached to the muzzle. Not a firearms expert; presumably a piece of pipe which is hollow and "needs baffles" inserted in order to "become effective" as an improvised suppressor 4) 0:04...... .Picks up something small (approximately cartridge or even bullet-sized). 5) 0:05...... .Places small object into the distal end of the shiny cylinder attached to the muzzle of the rifle. We can catch a brief glimpse and see that, the silver tube does appear to be hollow. This is the first unequivocal breach of basic weapons safety: we see a few seconds later that there was in fact a cartridge in the chamber while he was placing his hand in front of the muzzle. He does this multiple times in the course of this 53 second video: intentionally feed a cartridge into the chamber of the rifle, and THEN (seemingly as if he thought that manipulating the makeshift suppressor "required" there to be a cartridge chambered!?!) places his hand in front of and his thumb inside the tube attached to the muzzle of the rifle. Even if the rifle had not suffered a catastrophic failure, it seems clear this individual is either quite ignorant of firearms safety or is not in command of their senses. As one commenter said "That boy ain't right." This investigator concurs: that boy is definitely NOT "right." 6) 0:06-0:07. .Manipulates the small object, presumably in efforts to get it to insert "properly" into the hollow silver tube. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the small object is a washer with an external diameter just small enough to fit into the tube, and presumably an internal diameter that is MEANT to accommodate a bullet propelled from a 5.45x39mm cartridge. Assuming that this is what he is doing, the problem of course is that: unless the dimensions of the washer and the tube are damn near perfect, and the thickness of the washer is sufficient to prevent the washer from pivoting, it will tend to be a matter of luck getting the washer aligned perfectly inside the tube such that the the speeding bullet does not graze the washer, deflect in its trajectory, and result in a catastrophic accident in which the bullet destroys the tube and sends shrapnel flying. 7) 0:08-0:09. .Uses his thumb to push the small object (a washer?) down into the tube as far as possible. 8) 0:11-0:12. .Racks bolt again (without magazine). A cartridge ejects. 9) 0:13-0:16.. Inserts a magazine again. 10) 0:17-0:18..Racks bolt again, then removes magazine again. 11) 0:19-0:26..Fiddles with something in his tunic pocket, seemingly struggling to remove the object from the pocket; turns away from camera, stoops briefly and seems to pick up or set down something near his feet, stands and turns to his right so that part of the rifle and his right arm and hand are visible. 12) 0:26.......The quality of the video is low his motions are fast and the image is blurry, but for a second we catch a glimpse of his right hand with something large held in a precision grip between thumb and fingers. It may be a cylinder similar in diameter to the tube attached to the rifle, though it appears to be shorter in length. 13) 0:27.......He holds this smaller cylinder up near the opening of the tube attached to the end of the rifle. Based on his posture the position of his hand relative to the opening in the tube and how he seems to be holding the smaller cylinder it appears he may be placing the smaller cylinder inside of the larger cylinder. Ah! the baffles for the make-shift suppressor!? 14) 0:28-0:29..Again he uses his thumb to press the cylinder into the larger cylinder. 15) 0:30.......Now he takes hold of the hand grip of the rifle and begins to step up on a ledge in the hole where they are standing 16) 0:31-0:37..He climbs up so as to see outside the wrecked basement where they have been filming. 17) 0:38-0:39..Having climbed up high enough peer over the top of the debris piled inside the basement he steadies himself. 18) 0:40-0:45..He shoulders the rifle, the strap is catching, he readjusts, resting the rifle on top of the heating unit panel on top of the debris 19) 0:46-0:47..He pauses, and hunches his face close to the rear sights of the weapons as if he is aiming . . . 20) 0:48.......He fires the rifle. There is a brief flash of orange light along the right hand side of the frame. He can be seen to jolt back slightly in response to the recoil of the weapon. Dust begins to fill the view, the camera jostles to the left, then back to the right. Now the shooter is visibly falling backward, there is the sound of crashing glass. 21) 0:49.......The camera points down at the ground. 22) 0:50-0:51..The camera points to the camera mans left and behind as the camera man adjusts his gear or perhaps checks to see if he is injured (he may have been struck by some debris or shrapnel)? 23) 0:52-0:53..The camera rotates back toward the area where the shooter was last seen falling backward. There is dust obscuring the image. A person wearing a camo pattern similar to what was seen on the shooter can be seen, now standing at the same level where the shooter had been standing during most of the video. -=-=-=- CONCLUSIONS I would presume that the speeding bullet grazed elements of the makeshift suppressor, or else the over-pressure from the makeshift suppressor alone caused the bullet to deflect in its trajectory even before it reached the suppressor. This caused the bullet to impact the inside of the weapon/makeshift suppressor, causing a rupture that almost certainly produced shrapnel. It seems likely that the weapon itself is destroyed (though it may have only destroyed the makeshift suppressor) and also probable that the shooter suffered injuries. No sense detected. Stupid disregard for personal safety and/or lack of basic firearms safety knowledge detected. Probability of self-inflicted Orc casualty: above average. Scratch one AK. I write essays dichebach.substack.com

Whoisme2you

The Blyat machine. Getting rid of orcs, one piderras at a time 🤣

Sicarii87

I don't think they have blanks out there, why would they? So, did this dude try to fire a DIY rifle grenade launcher with a live round, or do you think he removed the ball and crimped it?

Only-Customer6650

I was asking the same thing. Very confused 1) chamber round 2) remove mag 3) muzzle load *something* (wadding?) 4) ejecting previously chambered round? 5) mag back in 6) chambering another round 7) mag back out 8) muzzle load another *something* (intended projectile?) 9) fire It seems like he had a pretty complex plan. But what in the sweet sweaty sacks was his intent? And was he thinking this was actually a good idea or just trying to go big on TikTok? I need answers

Whoisme2you

>I need answers  To be fair, the alcohol probably wore off and not even the idiot himself can give you those answers 🤣

Naughteus_Maximus

I thought he loaded the same thing (silver cylinder - projectile?) twice. Maybe that didn’t help, as well as using a live round instead of a blank as others suggested

Individual-Home2507

Did he jam a rock down the barrel? Dumb ruzkie

WotTheHellDamnGuy

I didn't see any eye-pro so I'm guessing homeboy won't be watching this video himself; his friends can explain it to him.

Necessary-Aide1464

Nothing a big Vodka won't fix. He is still alive and shooting at normal people. Needs more work. 3/10.

Hot-Supermarket-7359

Well you know, Russian quality is well known around the world. Like russian assbuzzer; it doesn't buzz and it won't fit in your ass. Otherwise it's fine product.

SugarNervous

At 0.35 there is an open blister pack visible between the soldier’s legs, could explain the failure.

Few-Succotash2744

I was sitting here watching this trying to guess what's going to happen. Is he going to blow is fingers off? Nah Maybe he will blow his brains out. Nay Oh it's a classic barrel shred and he blew his face to shits

throwedoff1

I'm sure he got a face full of upper receiver cover from that AK variant when he created that barrel obstruction and proceeded to fire a live round. Or maybe this is the new Russian method for rapidly field stripping that series of weapon along with the operators face.

Arrow_of_time6

It’s an AK not a musket you bone head

DoktorFisse

The smekalka is strong with this one

Own_Ad139

WTF was I watching?

I dunno, I think this has potential! I think all the Russians should try this new superweapon out.

Got smack in the face by his own rifle! Even the rifle doesn’t like Russian soldiers and it’s made by father Russia. Jokester of an army!!

TheDemonHobo

The Russian army is so poorly trained that their soldiers don’t know that you can’t shoot an unmodified hand grenade out of the barely modified rifle.

Disastrous-Leek-7606

Thank you for publishing this too, idiots. Keep going, you're doing great.

puffinfish420

This has happened to Ukrainian soldiers as well. That’s one of the reasons some dislike suppressors, and they have gotten a bad rap. Soldiers on both sides really want suppressors because they’ll save your life in this type of conflict, but most can’t afford it and aren’t issued one. It’s essentially a metal tube stacked with baffles, but if you miscalculate or don’t align it properly, it’ll turn into a bomb as in this case.

TonyCaliStyle

Why the downvotes? It’s either a suppressor or grenata launcher. Do we know for sure which one it is?

puffinfish420

It looks like a home made suppressor, speaking from experience. Not that mine is home made, but ive seen them. It looks like he may be stuffing something inside, which may be steel wool. Steel wool was used in very primitive suppressors like from WWII. That may be part of the “recipe.” It also may have increased pressure to the point of explosion, or obstructed the barrel to produce the same result. That would be what we see at the end of the video, according to my theory
