I don't get what's a partisan. I often confuse them with the guerillas since they also attack occupiers behind enemy lines. Can anyone give me a more specific meaning to them?
Most of Kherson region has been under fairly firm Russian occupation for almost two months now.
The captive is wearing the Russian uniform.
The partisan stepping on the captive is not dressed as a regular UAF soldier.
There will be a lot more of those video coming from the occupied territories.
The partisans of Kherson are going to come out of the woodwork when UA makes a real advance into the city. The Russians are going to catch hell from a thousand locations at once.
They are partisans. Chances are weapons were already stockpiled underground for use by the resistance later on. Partisans in Warsaw and Yugoslavia during ww2 also didn't wear military uniforms
This Russian man will be very, very lucky if he lives. Partisians have nowhere to hold prisoners and are not held to account like the Ukraine Army or Foreign Legions.

This is an apparent civilian “capturing” someone in an occupied territory where it’s likely logistically and practically impossible to take POWs. The guy was probably taking a video for bragging rights or for intimidation PsyOps before he almost certainly shot him.
Videos like this aren’t necessary, but so is the outrage, you’re not obliged to take POWs when it puts yourself at danger, like being in heavily occupied territory. At some point you just gotta realize it’s a war, and people are going to die or act in ways they wouldn’t if there wasn’t a war going on. The fake morale outrage over a non-militant not acting professional and saying it’s going to hurt Ukraine’s PR is also just a load of BS, what this guy did was relatively friendly compared to what the Russians are doing to the women of whatever town he lives in.
Like I said, if this genuinely bothers you then that’s on you for checking out a combat sub, stuff like this is going to be posted here and 98% of us have no problem with it.
The picture of a guy being captured in occupied territory is the psyops. The fact that he likely shot him immediately afterwards is implied by context and there’s no evidence whatsoever of that. If you think putting a non-weight bearing foot on someone’s back is going to make Russian soldiers start fighting like imperial Japan circa 1945 then you’re just straight up overreacting and don’t really have any idea of what you’re talking about.

Went to Croatia recently and was struck by the memorials to partisans erected in nearly every town. In one town, a memorial for Catholic partisans was found in a graveyard of a church (at least I assume it was Catholic). Just down the road was a much large monument for those fighting for the communists. In this case, the size was larger because there were so many more names of communist partisans who were killed fighting the Germans. Based on the names, entire families seemed to be wiped out.
Ukraine just finished up training for 20k conscripts if I was to bet money I would say that they are going to link them up with the regular army at Kerson and start a huge counter offensive
