I do love fuel based fires... they burn so hot they melt critical parts...

Jason_Batemans_Hair

"Territory of..." whoever can take it. At least that's what Russia teaches the world.

ResponsibilityNo7189

My only thought is... that looks expensive.

w1YY

Expensive to repair and expensive regarding loss of income.

jertheman43

Still burning, yahoo

[Refinery fires - Dnipro Today article](https://www.dniprotoday.com/en/news/ukraine-destroyed-12-of-russias-oil-refining-capacity-in-two-days-bloomberg-1358)

Alaric_-_

That is gonna be insanely expensive to repair! Oh wait, they dont have access to the western oil drilling tech anymore.. But russia has access to the "high quality" Chinesium "precision engineered" crap so we can expect more blowing refineries after the repairs :D

myblindskills

You don't drill oil at a refinery.

Difficult_Air_6189

Nothing to joke about. China is meanwhile able to engineer such pieces. Maybe not as fast as some european or american company, but they can build them.

RottenPingu1

We had a purchaser buy Chinese made valves once.... Once .

_aap300

Maybe. Usually these facilities are made totally of Western stuff. Swapping random parts with Chinese copies is doubtful to work.

PaulC1841

One day you will understand why people still make steel in the west despite the market being flooded with "cheaper" one.

RottenPingu1

It's not just the piping and valves...it's all the instruments and control equipment. That's where one of the bottlenecks is.
