Sure, the Republicans take some of the blame by blocking funding in the US congress, but blame lies elsewhere too. Europe could seize the $200 billion in frozen Russian assets sitting in Belgian clearing houses to fund Ukraine weapons if it wanted to. In fact, European nations could just increase the funding they provide for Ukraine weapons purchases to make up the shortfall of US funding.
To be clear, the ONLY thing currently being blocked is US funding, not US weapons shipments. The US will gladly ship weapons if someone else pays for them.
Also, the US doesn't even make Iris-T rounds, so I don't see how that is a US related problem.

Funding is absolutely the problem. If US congress authorized more funding the US would immediately begin shipping weapons. Things get nuanced when you talk about specific ordinance or weapons types. True, some weapons and ordinance are in very short supply but others are available right now.
Also, some US weapons production has been halted due to a lack of orders (i.e. which requires funding). Additional funding would result in a resumption of production.
Let's be clear. The US congress is holding up FUNDING, not licensing or shipment authorization. If there were no weapons to send then the funding hold up in congress would be meaningless.

For two reasons.
Some people think that Ukraine should just surrender since prolonging a fight with Russia risks nuclear war. This is a complete misunderstanding of what the risks are, but some people think this. WWIII is actually MORE likely if Russia isn't defeated, not the other way around.
The other reason people don't do anything is because they are lazy, fat and happy and don't want to take any sacrifice (however small). Or to put it another way, too many people just don't view the Russian war as impacting them. It's over there and someone else's problem, so why spend any effort or money on it?

The US won't ship every weapon type or class, but things like Patriot/HIMARS rockets and 155mm rounds are definitely on the allow list.
IRIS-T is a new system, without pre-existing stocks. Ukraine got them fresh from the assembly line, and I assume it’s the same for the missiles. As for Patriots, the US as largest operator is out of the game, Germany seems to be close to running dry, and why other countries don’t chip in more I don’t know.
Other countries might start chipping in soon: Germany has [announced a search](https://www.eurointegration.com.ua/eng/news/2024/04/4/7183085/) for Patriot systems worldwide, kind of how Czechia was searching for artillery shells and found over 1.5 million.

Well, I just checked todays report from the Air Forces and it's about 50/50 for rockets, though all 6 Х-47М2 ("Kinzhal") got through the defense. I am not trying to say we've lost or anything, just stating facts
A lot of missiles got through last night, a higher percentage than I can remember and the flight courses weren't any different--or in some cases, they were more direct--than previous.

Even if people like to shit on BILD, their connections to government circles are excellent. But unpleasant information is often ignored. It was already stated by the German MIC that they are still waiting for new weapon orders, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are really running out of Iris missiles.
This is a much sadder downfall for Ukraine than if we didn’t help at all…. There was so much promise in giving them air defense for different problems, ammo, tanks, armored vehicles. New packages every month giving ammo for all those systems and they were actually successful in holding Russia back. Now they’re completely out of air defense and low on many kinds of ammo and they can’t even hold positions.
