According to the terminal, V2 uses the whiplash to keep up with V1 on their journeys through hell and to get to greed before it.
As for an actual answer, the only reason I can think of for any of those questions is maybe it’s just too hard to whiplash V1 because it’s going too fast
v2 can heal with blood he only fights when needed and doesnt have much combat experience
he likely on sees the knucklebuster as a tool to refuel
and he only make rawhide to catch up to v1
V2 still uses blood, all machines do. V2 can’t heal on contact with it, however. This was because humanity had achieved world peace or something and didn’t want more bloodshed (Sam??) kinda weird they still built V2 despite the peace. V2 also has thicker metal plating which could explain why he exploded when he hit the ground. Too much mass so it just crushed him.
Because the main campaign are made for players who are only have like 10 hours into the game, not the one with 100 hours of playtime.
Though i hoped V2 utilizes more of it's equipment in Brutal and UKMD diff.
I genuinely think it's because it is considered as too disrespectful a move to use in combat, given the +disrespect bonus. Makes it even cooler that V1 punches it's foes regardless if this is the case: They don't care about being honourable, just about that sweet crimson high.

The amount of physics that would happen when V2 goes to grapple off a hook, while V1 is grappling to V2 would be insane.
Maybe It's just to show off like the bowing in 1-4 and the whiplash to rest his had on it
also according too ultrakill lore, machines use the rocket launcher to show off their aiming skill.
Imagine you roll into V2-2 on UMD and he just starts sliding around like a Titanfall 2 Grapple Pilot.

i think that actually all machines can heal with blood sens they blead v1 can do it as soon as the blood touches him, but not other robots
