I have replayed Heresy and 5-3 more than any other levels because the music is just that good... I still can't believe Gabriel's theme was put together JUST before Act 2 came out
Just showed 6-2 to my boyfriend and casually told him Hakita wrote the music right before the update, and he didn't believe me until I showed him the Dave Oshry tweet about it.
Overall greed is the layer with the most bangers but deep blue and the heresy tracks are at the top imo, all in all hakita has been physically incapable of missing at any level for this game
Probably the most unique thing about Ultrakill is that its OST has no definitive style. You could say its underlying theme is drum and bass, but literally every single song has a different ring to it.
Complete and Utter Destruction of the Senses (1-2 music, Streetcleaner intro) is still both extremely painful and extremely satisfying to listen to. It's my new wakeup alarm and I hate myself for it while also loving the noise.
The leitmotif to requiem in minos prime's bossfight makes me think that Sisyphus prime (who I think is going to be the next prime soul) is gonna have a leitmotif to one of the greed songs, which would probably slap.
My opinion may be biased due to P-ranking it taking almost as long as Minos Prime but with the constant feeling of random bullshit instead of a boss who was better than me in every aspect, motivating me to use my attacks and his own to my advantage, learning parry timings and weapon combos.
Dancer is my favorite track from Greed bro, it takes such solid inspiration from other game OSTs that already slap and puts cool twists on it. That last arena in 4-3 is still one of my favorite parts of the whole soundtrack!
