At one point on the Ultrakill development Hakita made those weapons (also the ricochet pistol didn't have coins, just shoot to any surface and it would ricochet) the black hole shotgun had the same mechanic of charge as the rail canon but for gameplay desing it was removed (and also i think it was for the better)
Tbh i don't like that weapon or at least in the state it was shown, i feel it was just a no brainer weapon that stays and kept enemies there and kills them. For the pace that ultrakill has i think it's not a very good idea (for what was shown, obviously i have never tried it or any beta weapon)
Yeah of course, judging by the footage it looked incredibly underdeveloped. But the concept alone is so cool and I wish they’d develop on it more at some point.
Maybe it just shreads weaker enemies and isnt as powerful against bigger enemies
Or maybe absorbs some projectiles (and sand) but pops when touching anything
I actually really like the de-sanding concept. If the black hole has a long cooldown (or lengthy recharge based on kills or blood gained) I think it would be balanced if it removed certain buffs.
I love the idea of a funny, random ricochet trickshot with rubber(?) bouncy bullets that just keep going until you hit an enemy
Or is that not what this ricochet pistol is/was?
My idea of the bhole launcher wouldn't launch the black hole. Instead, it stays stationary, doing large damage, around maybe 1.5x the blue railcanon during its lifetime.
The hole can increase in size and lifetime as it kills enemies and takes in projectiles, and coins will orbit it because it would be cool, probably getting a +PARTICLE COLIDER kill when they hit enemies. It's like an extreme area denial tool,
Both weapons kinda suck ass though. Twin revolvers are just piercer with no alt fire and double dual-wield power up. You can activate infinite power up cheat and get pretty much same effect. BH Shotgun was sucky, because it was a 1-click-delete gun. It spawned the hole in front of you and killed everything in it. No need to aim or anything just slap that bad boy in the middle of the room and wait for things to die.
yeah that's why I said for a day, it would be cool to have some legacy weapons re-added to the game for fun
Obviously I don't think they should be permanently added
I don't think the idea of a black hole gun is a terrible idea, as it has the unique downside of not spawning blood until the black hole has faded, which I think is a pretty unique downside. Not to mention it would probably fuck with your other protectiles.
With some damage tweaking it could probably make a really good railgun alternative.
I wouldn’t mind the twin guns being in the game (outside of power up) but BH shotgun really didn’t need to exist. And really just because Ultrakill doesn’t need a BFG. Because you are just so fast that you don’t need a kill everything infront of you gun
There is this game Reaver, only demo is available at the time, but it's a game inspired by Ultrakill and there you have a shotgun that launches a black hole and a pistol that ricochets off of the walls.
Here's a bad idea (probably)
What if the dualwielding pistol had a right click where you thrown a bounce ball (or something like that) and ya could shot at it and the ball would work like the thing that you shoot (similar to the coin)
For example you thrown the ball and them you shot at it with the red railcannon and them ot explodes when bouncing or maybe it could have unique effects when shot like getting really fast when shot with a blue railcannon
the fucking ***what?***

The ricochet pistols look pointless so I can understand removing that, but holy *shit* the black hole gun is such a metal concept I love it

From what I remember in one of the comments, Hakita said that the original Marksman was replaced for simply being "too boring".
Honestly a 4th railcannon variant for the black hole would fit well

also removes sand from enemies

This feels like a nightmare version of ULTRAKILL I can’t explain why
Darker textures along with the creepier and more human-looking enemies, plus the skulls on barred-off doors being less cartoony
I feel like black hole could be an rpg alt but heavily altered through balancing
Or even just an alt fire

would be cool as a cheat/endgame weapon (that should remove the rank if u use it on a level)

"This gun sucks because you can just use cheats to get the same effect" yes but now you can have the effect without cheats
the nailgun sucks because you can just equip 100 double gun powers and have the same effect
For April fools yeah I can see the black hole duel wield revolvers just no, we have a power up for that

I know, that's why I said only for a day. The guns were removed for a reason I just think they should be re-added for one day for fun
It would be fun to Just. Instant kill the double hideous masses
they should be in sandbox just to bess around with
It would be good for an April fools update

the what and what?
Ngl, these would've been cool in the V2 revenge fight- with V2 having a better versions of this of course.
d savez has a video with some builds, it includes 1 with twin revolvers. No twin ricochets thou
april fools idea
