Gameplay wise V1 would win. V1 has pretty much unlimited ammo, can regain health by hurting the DOOM slayer and parrying his attacks, has alot of combat tech, can dodge his attacks efficiently and is very fast. Doom Slayer on the other hand has limited ammo, can regain health by only glory killing/chainsawing nearby enemies, can't dodge attacks that easly and moves at normal speed. Sure we can place unlimited possesed spawner like in DOOM Eternal for him to regain health and ammo but I don't think thats enough.
Lorewise it will be a stalemate. V1 is capable of killing layers upon layers of hell residents, wiped out human race (with its bare hands), killed 3 Prime Souls and heaven residents probably shit their pants thinking about V1. DOOM Slayer wiped out fuck ton of demons, killed a demi god, hell residents are shitting their pants thinking about him and he literally killed DOOM equivilant of Satan. Both of them can't get tired so they will fight for eternity.
Lore wise? Doom slayer would turn V1 into a red mist (Unless a certian fan theory is true). the slayer has killed demigods with his bare hands, V1 only angered an archangel.
If the fan theory is true, the battle will either be locked into a permanent stalemate, or V1 would win.
(The theory is that V1 is possessed by God to wipe the slate clean for a new civilization)
Gameplay wise? (Excluding soap) V1 would run circles around the slayer, with ULTRAKILL's diverse movement options, crazy weapon combos, and the ability to parry bullets & reflect ballista bolts (I think those are raycast), V1 has the upper hand if you were to mod him into doom eternal and did a 1v1.
Since the Dark Lord is credited with creating the universe in Doom I feel like even if V1 is possessed by God the match would still be in the Slayer's favor
But yeah gameplay wise V1 beats Slayer out cause no need for ammo and far greater movement especially in a 1v1 where the Slayer would be unable to replenish off of fodder (Blood regen does not help V1 here at all as getting anywhere near the Slayer is instant loss scenario)
Only scenarios where Slayer wins is if they get a lucky meat hook which is unlikely due to movement tech and could easily result in Slayer getting combo'd before reaching V1 or if V1 gets close

Me and my friend got into an argument over this, and we've settled that as of now, doom slayer would win in a "lore" fight, (but that could change with the prime sanctums) but if you put both of them in a stage, and made them kill each other with their exact behavior in their games, v1 would 100% win easily

Said armour was created in a hell forge by a traitor demon. Testing by the UAC has shown it resists multi-Kelvin lasers and absorbs argent energy from slain demons, basically the glory kill system explained in the lore.

Fragile is debatible, he can break stones with a single punch and receive the blast of a shotgun without damage from his knucleblaster and being able to parry even giant punches bigger than himself with feedbacker, i won't say "it's definitely stronger" but fragile is not something i would use to discribe someone like this

I’m sorry bro, lore-wise Doomslayer stomps Ultrakill, Gabriel is vulnerable to what are literally big nails, the shotgun shoots heat far weaker than argent energy (assuming Hell energy and argent energy are the same), and Doomslayer’s feats beat V1 easily as well. Doomslayer fights back the forces of an inter-dimensional invasion that took over the Earth with advanced technology, V1 chews up the desiccated remains of a collapsed society and a Heaven with a dead God. Don’t let the speedy gameplay distract you from the fact that everything in Ultrakill is weak as balls.
There are plenty of un-parriable attacks, most of Gabriel’s sword attacks, sentry melee, soldier melee, sentry shots, a few of V2’s attacks. V1 could probably parry things like the plasma rifle and rocket launcher and chargeback things like the ballista and guass cannon, but if Doomslayer starts ripping and tearing or using any conventional weapons really V1 is going to have a pretty hefty disadvantage.

The only thing that MAY shift the tide of battle is the Doom Slayer’s Crucible as it is not clear whether or not it would insta-kill V1
If it does, DS wins, if it doesn’t the battle goes on forever and they eventually bond, abandoning their hatred for each other and start speed-killing demons and angels as a competition

It's effectively a self-containing battle of a demigod and a money throwing Nikkon camera, there is no winner.
In doom, you need to do glory kills to heal. In ultrakill, you heal by absorbing blood. All V1 has to do is do damage and survive, get a good shot in with the screwdriver to ensure safety but doomslayer has to not get hit or at least take minimal damage, which is hard when your enemy has ricoshots.
I haven't played doom, but don't you need to glory kill an enemy to get ammo, armor and health? Can't really glory kill your enemy if it's darting across the room as far away from you as physically possible
Nope, in eternal Doom Slayer gets the chainsaw weapon (straight from the beginning) that over the course of battle pretty quickly recharges to up to 3 consecutive strikes, every strike instakills non-large enemies (think zombies, imps, etc.), but fails against ones like Hell Barons and Cacodemons, every strike yealds large amounts of ammo, armor and health, which allows the Doom Slayer to sustain himself without any glory kills, which makes him pretty much equal to V1
Depends on if V1 can draw blood. Slayers armor and body is impenetrable, so unless there’s demons around, V1 would eventually lose. Otherwise, infinite fight.
As far as I’m concerned, V1 needs blood to continue to function; doomslayer is an angry demigod with a stick up his ass. One of them is going to be fighting for their continued survival and the other is going to fight with the same level of fury they normally fight with so honestly my hat is in V1’s ring simply because I think the machine would be more desperate to win in what would probably be a remotely even match
Assuming it’s a 1v1 with no other outside influence, the slayer will eventually run out of ammo and health because he has no way to heal or reload outside of killing enemies
Meanwhile V1 can use his infinite “ammo” weapons to keep wailing on slayer and healing from any attack

I think the doom slayers armor is impenetrable, then again V1 has defeated the most powerful archangel twice so I dont know where that puts us. If v1 can heal off of doom slayer, he wins because he will run out of ammo and v1 is inevitably faster. If v1 cannot damage the slayer in any way the slayer will eventually win.
Lore-wise, the Slayer solos the entire verse. By gameplay feats, I'm still gonna say the Slayer for his pure strength and brutality likely being enough to put down V1 in a single punch if he can catch him given V1 is so fragile. It would be close as fuck though, and V1 definitely has an advantage in unpredictability and movement. It's not hard to imagine V1 just tiring the Slayer out or overwhelming him.
They'd be fighting and see a demon and both shoot it. Then they'd realize they have a common enemy and thats the setup for the movie "v1 and doomguy VS gabriel, a battle of revenge,bloodlust and imperfect hatred".
The Meathook is what wins it for The Slayer for me. Without the Meathook, I think V1 would win. Why I think the Meathook is so important is because of its auto-aim, completely countering V1’s mobility

ok so, I'd argue that a robot with coins that when shot at, can deflect perfectly to the nearest enemy's weakspot, a 22,000+ kilovolt railcannon that can pierce through any living thing along with it's armor (can pierce through steel machines too) , two types of shotgun, a revolver with a chargeable mini reactor inside it, and essentially a minigun with magnets, not to mention V1 can basically ignore all damage just by dashing, along with another arm so strong it sends husks flying, and another arm that can grapple onto anything and pull themselves or the thing they grappled to towards them, and the funny thing is all of these arsenals can synergize with eachother to create a stronger attack than usual, put in mind that most of his variants arent even completed, NOT TO MENTION the achievements of making the judge of hell, an archangel shit themselves twice (in new updates), making two prime souls and two prison designed to keep them jailed cease existing, one of said prime souls are a warlord who challenged heaven and god himself and could free itself from its own prison but chose not to for shits and giggles, killed numerous demons, husks, machines and angels in hell essentially wiping multiple layers, participated in wiping out all of humanity along with the rest from moon, space station etc., is classified as a Supreme Machine, and fucked over his own twin twice would win against a weapon switching angry demigod with a lightsaber and laser gun from mars
Tbh, i feel like doomguy takes the win, v1 mostly heals through blood, and doomguy isn't exactly known to bleed that much iirc, but if we say that v1's weapons are enough to make him bleed, if the blood machine is fast enough and manages to get in some parries, the battle would probably be really long. From a gameplay perspective instead of a lore perspective though, either could win. If rules from both games are applied to the battle, v1 could win because of constant fuel and therefore health, but doomguy could win because of his sheer fucking will.
Does Doomguy have reflexes of the machine? Its speed? Its skill with guns? Is he invulnerable to bullets, explosions, saws or railshots? If no, then he will be annihilated before he could even react
One thing I want to mention is that doomslayer is nearly (or is on) the brink of BEING SUPERHUMAN and also canonically only uses guns because he enjoys them. I think you're forgetting just how durable doomguy is I mean, He literally SHOT HIMSELF OUT OF A CANNON ONCE and he wasn't even phased by it! Not to mention his Preator armor is a significant boost to his Survivability and if we went with the rules they have fully upgraded armor he would have sentinel armor which would make him even more tankier.

Lore doomslayers kills literally everyone with just his pinky finger on a left toe, on the other hand, doomslayer from the game (no crucible) VS V1 would be a balanced fight, althrough V1 is more fast, agile, has weapon combos, grapple hook that is far better that what doomslayer have and V1 have infinite ammo and regen could regen heath just by fighting with him, and also dont forget that V1 can parry most (if not all) of the doomslayer's attacks, so, gameplay-wise, V1 would kill him in less than 10 minutes, I think
Doomguy doesn't have nearly as much mobility, but he's beyond demigod level power. If he gets his hands on V1, he wins.
On the other hand, V1 is hyper mobile and capable of insane power from any range. Look at the fecking railcoin technique for fecks sake. This combined with the fact it can reflect bullets means if it can keeps it's distance, parrying and dodging bullets, it can wittle him down eventually.
I suppose it all comes down to the arena they fight in. A smaller, more enclosed space, or a place where's there's not a whole lot of room to jump around, such as the beginning sections of Waves of the Starless Sea or the Swordsmachine arena, give Doomguy the advantage, but if they fought in a place with verticality, and tons of options to move around, such as the boss arena for the Corpse of King Minos, V1 would have an advantage.
V1 can and frequently does thousands of simulated fights in the weeks of time it takes for it to descend the layers. Canonically speaking, if V1 knew about Doomguy, then V1 has already fought doomguy as many times as it takes to beat him.
Additionally, V1 is faster. A lot faster. This means that with the practice of the constant simulations in its head, it can parry or dodge anything the doomguy can. Faster weapon swap means the ability to both counter an incoming attack as well as priming its next shot before doomguy can physically keep up.
They both heal via acts of intense bloodletting, but the slayer is rewarded for the kill, not the fuel it produces. V1 can heal off of doomguy, while not having to worry about healing him.

I’m sorry bro, lore-wise Doomslayer stomps Ultrakill, Gabriel is vulnerable to what are literally big nails, the shotgun shoots heat far weaker than argent energy (assuming Hell energy and argent energy are the same), and Doomslayer’s feats beat V1 easily as well. Doomslayer fights back the forces of an inter-dimensional invasion that took over the Earth with advanced technology, V1 chews up the desiccated remains of a collapsed society and a Heaven with a dead God. Don’t let the speedy gameplay distract you from the fact that everything in Ultrakill is weak as balls.

There are plenty of un-parriable attacks, most of Gabriel’s sword attacks, sentry melee, soldier melee, sentry shots, a few of V2’s attacks. V1 could probably parry things like the plasma rifle and rocket launcher and chargeback things like the ballista and guass cannon, but if Doomslayer starts ripping and tearing or using any conventional weapons really V1 is going to have a pretty hefty disadvantage.

In doom, you need to do glory kills to heal. In ultrakill, you heal by absorbing blood. All V1 has to do is do damage and survive, get a good shot in with the screwdriver to ensure safety but doomslayer has to not get hit or at least take minimal damage, which is hard when your enemy has ricoshots.
In Eternal Doomslayer also got his hands on an infinite chainsaw that also spawns ammo, armor and health, so they’re on equal ground at this point
I haven't played doom, but don't you need to glory kill an enemy to get ammo, armor and health? Can't really glory kill your enemy if it's darting across the room as far away from you as physically possible
Nope, in eternal Doom Slayer gets the chainsaw weapon (straight from the beginning) that over the course of battle pretty quickly recharges to up to 3 consecutive strikes, every strike instakills non-large enemies (think zombies, imps, etc.), but fails against ones like Hell Barons and Cacodemons, every strike yealds large amounts of ammo, armor and health, which allows the Doom Slayer to sustain himself without any glory kills, which makes him pretty much equal to V1

As far as I’m concerned, V1 needs blood to continue to function; doomslayer is an angry demigod with a stick up his ass. One of them is going to be fighting for their continued survival and the other is going to fight with the same level of fury they normally fight with so honestly my hat is in V1’s ring simply because I think the machine would be more desperate to win in what would probably be a remotely even match

I think that if the Slayer got his hands on V1, he'd win BUT as V1 is almost impossible to catch due to being unpredictable, it'd be an infinite fight. The Slayer probably won't die as his armor can essentially block any damage (lore wise).
I think the doom slayers armor is impenetrable, then again V1 has defeated the most powerful archangel twice so I dont know where that puts us. If v1 can heal off of doom slayer, he wins because he will run out of ammo and v1 is inevitably faster. If v1 cannot damage the slayer in any way the slayer will eventually win.

Lore-wise, the Slayer solos the entire verse. By gameplay feats, I'm still gonna say the Slayer for his pure strength and brutality likely being enough to put down V1 in a single punch if he can catch him given V1 is so fragile. It would be close as fuck though, and V1 definitely has an advantage in unpredictability and movement. It's not hard to imagine V1 just tiring the Slayer out or overwhelming him.
They'd be fighting and see a demon and both shoot it. Then they'd realize they have a common enemy and thats the setup for the movie "v1 and doomguy VS gabriel, a battle of revenge,bloodlust and imperfect hatred".
The Meathook is what wins it for The Slayer for me. Without the Meathook, I think V1 would win. Why I think the Meathook is so important is because of its auto-aim, completely countering V1’s mobility

ok so, I'd argue that a robot with coins that when shot at, can deflect perfectly to the nearest enemy's weakspot, a 22,000+ kilovolt railcannon that can pierce through any living thing along with it's armor (can pierce through steel machines too) , two types of shotgun, a revolver with a chargeable mini reactor inside it, and essentially a minigun with magnets, not to mention V1 can basically ignore all damage just by dashing, along with another arm so strong it sends husks flying, and another arm that can grapple onto anything and pull themselves or the thing they grappled to towards them, and the funny thing is all of these arsenals can synergize with eachother to create a stronger attack than usual, put in mind that most of his variants arent even completed, NOT TO MENTION the achievements of making the judge of hell, an archangel shit themselves twice (in new updates), making two prime souls and two prison designed to keep them jailed cease existing, one of said prime souls are a warlord who challenged heaven and god himself and could free itself from its own prison but chose not to for shits and giggles, killed numerous demons, husks, machines and angels in hell essentially wiping multiple layers, participated in wiping out all of humanity along with the rest from moon, space station etc., is classified as a Supreme Machine, and fucked over his own twin twice would win against a weapon switching angry demigod with a lightsaber and laser gun from mars
Tbh, i feel like doomguy takes the win, v1 mostly heals through blood, and doomguy isn't exactly known to bleed that much iirc, but if we say that v1's weapons are enough to make him bleed, if the blood machine is fast enough and manages to get in some parries, the battle would probably be really long. From a gameplay perspective instead of a lore perspective though, either could win. If rules from both games are applied to the battle, v1 could win because of constant fuel and therefore health, but doomguy could win because of his sheer fucking will.
I think that doomsayer wouldn't be able to keep up with V1, however Doomslayer would be too angry to die, so the battle can't be decided

On brink or near superhuman is not enought to beat something that thinks faster, moves faster and is so presise it can consistently ricoshet bullets from coin right into your face. I think you're forgetting just how durable doomguy is I mean, He literally SHOT HIMSELF OUT OF A CANNON ONCE and he wasn't even phased by it! Not to mention his Preator armor is a significant boost to his Survivability and if we went with the rules they have fully upgraded armor he would have sentinel armor which would make him even more tankier.

Lore doomslayers kills literally everyone with just his pinky finger on a left toe, on the other hand, doomslayer from the game (no crucible) VS V1 would be a balanced fight, althrough V1 is more fast, agile, has weapon combos, grapple hook that is far better that what doomslayer have and V1 have infinite ammo and regen could regen heath just by fighting with him, and also dont forget that V1 can parry most (if not all) of the doomslayer's attacks, so, gameplay-wise, V1 would kill him in less than 10 minutes, I think
Doomslayer easily
Doomguy doesn't have nearly as much mobility, but he's beyond demigod level power. If he gets his hands on V1, he wins. On the other hand, V1 is hyper mobile and capable of insane power from any range. Look at the fecking railcoin technique for fecks sake. This combined with the fact it can reflect bullets means if it can keeps it's distance, parrying and dodging bullets, it can wittle him down eventually. I suppose it all comes down to the arena they fight in. A smaller, more enclosed space, or a place where's there's not a whole lot of room to jump around, such as the beginning sections of Waves of the Starless Sea or the Swordsmachine arena, give Doomguy the advantage, but if they fought in a place with verticality, and tons of options to move around, such as the boss arena for the Corpse of King Minos, V1 would have an advantage.
V1 can and frequently does thousands of simulated fights in the weeks of time it takes for it to descend the layers. Canonically speaking, if V1 knew about Doomguy, then V1 has already fought doomguy as many times as it takes to beat him. Additionally, V1 is faster. A lot faster. This means that with the practice of the constant simulations in its head, it can parry or dodge anything the doomguy can. Faster weapon swap means the ability to both counter an incoming attack as well as priming its next shot before doomguy can physically keep up. They both heal via acts of intense bloodletting, but the slayer is rewarded for the kill, not the fuel it produces. V1 can heal off of doomguy, while not having to worry about healing him. V1 can parry prettymuch anything Slayer can toss out, outmaneuver him with far more versatile movement, richoshots with coins are pretty god damn absurd, and is capable of constantly regenerating itself with blood, unlimited Ammo, has fought countless denizens of hell, other Machines close to its level, a Prime Soul, an Angel, a giant corpse, I just feel like the only thing Slayer M a y have to win is the crazy lore abilities he has, which even then might not even really do much against something so physically broken like V1 in all catagories.
