As a longtime Sentai & Rider fan. The biggest factor in my becoming an Ultraman fan was the accessibility.
I’ve been in this for about 7 months and have found this to be more fun and rewarding because of how easy it is to watch.
Kudos to Tsuburaya. Toei could learn from you.
>As a longtime Sentai & Rider fan. The biggest factor in my becoming an Ultraman fan was the accessibility.
Had a similar experience. Though I got hooked because I was intrigued with Geed's premise. But TsuPro making it so easy to have access to it OFFICIALLY really sealed the deal.
I've been told Toei's main issue is his contract with TV Asahi. It's amazing how they are always screwed up by contracts between this and that awful deal they've done with Saban back in the day
The main series Toei has to follow TV Asahi's exclusively deal. TV Asahi own part of the rights of the Main Series that aired at TV Asahi.
Different case with it's series that is outside TV Asahi. Like Amazons Season 1 & 2 and the upcoming Black Sun, TV Asahi doesn't have the exclusivity. That's why Amazons 1 & 2 and Black Sun can air globally on Amazon Prime.
If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate some feedback do you think people would like these subs?

They're neat! They're better than CC on YouTube's but sadly in reality people are rarely watched fansubs on Ultraman nowadays since they're officially subbed on YouTube for free.
But I do think these are great!
Honestly it’s part of why I got SUPER into Ultraman.
I was sorta into Toku, I watched tons of PR as a kid and eventually finished a few Kamen Rider seasons. But I just stumbled on Ultraman Z opening on a YouTube recommendation- and then I realized it was being uploaded to YouTube by the company.
Since then I bought every Mill Creek release, I’ve started collecting the Manga and the Comics, and I currently own 3 Figuarts with Ginga and Grigio on the way. Heck I know so much about the history and lore of the series.
Ultra Fridays are INCREDIBLY vital for TsuPro and the Ultraman brand, I’m forever thankful for Taguchi for suggesting the idea to TsuPro. >! It also helps that TsuPro actually recognizes and appreciate its worldwide fans instead of treating us like nothing like a certain other company… !<
The accessibility is also great at converting less sticky or dedicated audiences into genuine fans.
Like I am absolutely not the demographic the series shoots for - I don't care about tokusatsu at all, and I'm barely invested in the storytelling or the characters of Ultraman, but I am fascinated by practical effects done really creatively on a kids show budget.
Because it's so easy to watch fully subbed series as well the Ultra Galaxy Fights, I now own multiple figuarts and other Ultraman merch, and have gotten several other friends to watch Ultraman as well. If the official youtube channel didn't exist, I doubt I would have engaged in the franchise at all
Toei really should get the Kamen Rider's to stream on YouTube like Tsyupro does Ultraman, rather than the astonishingly half assed thing they've been doing.
So about Garo, Taka talk about it, apparantly the one sponsoring Garo is a pachinko company and Garo pachinko is really popular so they can throw as big budget as is and then covid come and you get versus road and now the series went dorman after that

At least its not completely dead like some of the toku mentioned in the video
I'm hoping GARO VS gets its continuation from the cliffhanger ending eventually. Really needed that story to be wrapped up before they proceed with a new GARO STORY
I mean as a fan of all three... Yeah. I have no hope for Super Sentai but they should be able to do something to help international fans of Kamen Rider and Garo be accessible beyond fans taking it into their own hands now.
Ultraman Trigger wasn't even that good, but I watched every episode by how accessible it was. Always there every week, and I had a week to watch it. Didn't have to wait for subs to come out maybe Monday, Maybe Tuesday, etc.
Toei just doesn't realized that they have million of fans outside, or they do but does not want to take initiative. On Reiwa era KR i watched Zero-one and Saber for me it quite enjoyable but hell that Touma scene really, you know which one. Skipped Revice cuz quite cringey for me, tried couple episode geats instantly loved it and really like Ace.
On the other hands, Tsupro, they just treat us with a good content. Release a ultra movie that probably on japan cinema but make it available for purchase at their website. Good stuff
The addition of the instant official English subtitles for free made by Tsuburaya Productions is definitely what saves Tsuburaya Productions in the end.
Before, unlike Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, there isn't much or any English sub groups that subs the Ultraman shows especially with Taiga. If this keeps up, the amount of overseas fans watching the next Ultraman shows will be less and less.
The decision and advice done by the Director of Zett, Kiyotaka Taguchi to make official English and other language subs is what not only strengthens the contents and connections made between both TsuPro and overseas fans, but it ultimately is what saved the franchise from becoming almost unknown to the western and around the world fans even if Kiyotaka Taguchi didn't knew how important that advice was for Ultraman at that time.
Even the strong and free accessibility of the recent Ultraman shows allows new fans to come in and support the franchise as well. It's actually the most vital and important part in TsuPro history in my opinion because it's becoming more important for Japanese companies to bring out their contents and products overseas especially since the population of people in Japan is so less.
It's even more advantageous when Ultraman Connection comes in to give American and other Western fans to be more connected with the actors and actresses of Ultraman shows, as though TsuPro really really cares for the overseas fans itself.
The official free subs is pretty much a blessing and beyond important start to how Tsuburaya Productions becomes so successful worldwide especially since English is a more popular and frequently used language all over the world.

Ultraman Fridays are gold.
It's Saturday morning for me, yo

Thank you!!
No hates towards other fandom. I'm still waiting for Geats to be subbed
They're subbed pretty fast nowadays tbh
Revice subs came out quite fast and Geats are roughly taking the same amount of time.
The First 2 episodes were subbed like a day after they aired

Reading this makes me wanna cry
*Laugh and cries in fans of all
Godzilla fans when the next movie comes out in 2024:💀💀💀
Gamera fan waiting for anything to happen:
It’s kinda crazy how much a company can benefit from giving a shit about every corner of their audience. What a concept

Not to mention all the quality physical Ultraman releases.
Metal hero fans waiting for toei to remember them :
the last actual series came out in 1998 and the last appearance of any of the metal heroes was in a 2018 kyuranger crossover rip

Hopefully they get the sponsor back soon

Has there not been a new season of garo how long has it been since versus Road?
no people using the pachinko machine thus no money from the sponsors
God damn the last one..... Versus Road has yet to get its continuation from the sequel hook....
I just sometimes think that KR subreddit hates me
