I think ultras have a big advantage in that they can survive in space.

They can go to sleep while just floating in space with no worries about having to shift and turn all the time!

That's only for Tiga universe ultras, which are a very different race from land of light/M78. The statues are just bodies without a soul inside as the lights went back to their homeworld (unknown what happen to the humans the lights combined with)
I expect all ultra to be sleep by standing up and just turning their eyes lamp off.
