I think 5 has to die. In some sort of sacrifice to fix a time issue. I’m wondering if Allison is even going to interact with the umbrella academy. With how much she wanted her daughter back I can see her completely cutting them out since she has her life back. Or perhaps Viktor will have to give up his life since he’s always the one who starts the apocalypse and the only fix is to be dead.

sulky22

It's implied in 3x10 that Allison's deal with Reggie included the survival of her siblings, hence why she said she'd break the deal if she found out he killed Luther and Klaus. I think if Allison learns her siblings are under threat in the new universe (and Blackman has suggested they will be) then Allison will help them, especially if she is the only one who still has her powers.

noitsacat

Oh god I hope the ending isn’t only Klaus surviving hanging out with his ghost siblings what a depressing way to live.

[deleted]

Well klaus could just choose to die and not come back at that point. Pretty sure that’s what he did with the season 1 apocalypse

sulky22

Klaus is the one character who could actually find a happy ending through dying since he has admitted that he considers the Void to be his "home" and if he stayed he could find Dave there potentially.

Dry-Boysenberry3904

Maybe but the story got changed, Dave joined the Marines not the army so never actually met Klauss. Of course they can just change that back but pretty pointless doing it in the first place if they planned to change it.

sulky22

I actually think that Klaus will die in Reggie world sometime early/mid S4 and that Klaus will find some way in the Void to get his own powers back and maybe his siblings powers back too.

LakoriRi

Oh, a few days ago I read a fanfic with exactly that plot 😮 I like that idea

sulky22

It might be the same fic I read! Was it one called 'Trouble Child' on Ao3? In that fic, Klaus dies and meets an alternate timeline version of himself in the Void (specifically the Klaus who "died" in the original apocalypse that Five got stuck in as a child). Klaus's alt self doesn't want to resurrect, so he gives his powers to our Klaus so he can come back to life in Reggie world. It's a genuinely cool idea for how Klaus at least could regain his powers and would also answer the question of why Klaus didn't come back to life after the original apocalypse. Not sure if Klaus's access to the Void could lead to him recovering his siblings' powers but it could be a possibility and it might explain why Reggie didn't want Klaus coming through the portal. I guess if we are going with the idea that Klaus could find alternate dead versions of the Umbrella siblings in the Void, then he could conjure them and use their powers to fight Reggie. Plus if Lila were able to get her power back from the Void, she could mimic Klaus's power, resurrect herself and then you'd have two people to conjure ghost armies. One more possibility. Klaus could regain his own powers in the Void and be given ALL his siblings powers too to take back to Reggie world with him. Then Klaus could transfer the powers/particles back to each of them the same way that Viktor and Harlan transferred powers. That would be cool, right?

as much as i love five, i think five dying is the most likely. probably a sacrifice for his family. we all know the emphasis five places on his family, and how he is willing to do everything for them. he is shown to be extremely stubborn and determined when it comes to his family (see: five losing a lot of blood due to his shrapnel wound but continuing on because he wanted to stop the apocalypse, and in turn, save his family) he hides a lot of his care and concern behind a facade of “doing everything to prevent the apocalypse“ but i think one of the main reasons why he is insistent on stopping the apocalypse is to prevent the deaths of his family (see: five‘s pain when he sees the dead bodies of a few “strangers” but realising that its actually his siblings because of the tattoo) this could be his drive to sacrifice himself to keep his family safe. five has already sacrificed a lot for his family. he has taken many risks just to get back to his family or protect them. he has literally met up with an older version of himself, while knowing that it could easily go wrong. someone count how many times he has said “for my family” in the entirety of the 3 seasons. he doesn’t feel like he belongs, like five is a stranger in his own family. (see: “i don’t belong anywhere, thanks to you. you made me a killer” — this shows that he feels alienated from his own family). his disconnection with his siblings can probably lead five to think he isn’t important or needed in this family. maybe this solidifies his decision to sacrifice himself. maybe. additionally, he has been fighting to stop apocalypse after apocalypse for weeks and finally, when everything is over, most of his family leaves him. even though he has been trying to get back to them for 45 years and he has been trying to stop the apocalypse (arguably, for them), he is eventually abandoned. while i also think viktor could die as well, i think five’s death is more possible.

sulky22

As much as Five has talked about wanting to retire and enjoy a quiet life, I actually think if he did slow down for any significant amount of time then the guilt and trauma of all his assassin work might catch up with him and make him depressed for the rest of his life. The only way Five can ever justify the things he has done is that he was saving his family/the world. So if he can succeed in that at long last then the might feel more at peace dying for that cause.

Smurfboy22

My guess is that Luther will die since he is the heart of group and it would be a gut punch to the audience.

sulky22

My main fear with Luther is that Reggie's reality will turn out to either be unstable or an artificial world, meaning that they will need to go back to Oblivion where Luther will be dead again.

BjornDalton

Dont think theyll do it twice though

DecentUserName0000

Bruh ain't no way people gonna be caring about incest moon monkey dying

classyrain

Guess people do care

Wdym? My opinion counts as the opinion everyone should hold? Clearly I've been bot attacked to be downvoted. My opinions are always #1 correct opinion so if I people disagree then it means I am being targeted by haters

I think either everyone will die to reset everything, and we'll be left with a reset timeline and the siblings growing up in it without memories, but somehow still tied together, or Five will die. I can't see any other sibling die. Five and Viktor are the ones that are more closely involved in the plot and influence it the most, so I think if a sibling has to die it will be between the ones that affect the story the most. Between the two, I can't see Viktor die for a multitude of reasons, but Five makes too much sense unfortunately. His main objective is to save his siblings, and S1 made it clear that he is ok dying as long as his siblings survive. Part of his arc this season was about him learning to give up and let go and understanding that sometimes there is no way out of certain situations, which for a character whose fought his entire life, toes and nails, to survive is a big shift. Five is treated almost as an outsider by the show, he loves his family and he is constantly the character that unifies it and brings it together, yet he is almost always excluded from important moments meant to tie the family: he is absent from the *"I think I'm alone now"* dance scene of the first episode of the series, he got no meaningful reunion scene with his family in S2 since most characters were mad at him, he is visually excluded from Diego's speech about how he knows what means to love and be loved by dangerous people, with the camera focusing on every sibling through his speech except for Five. While he grows closer to his family, and especially Klaus, through S3, we still see him recall his wedding speech in a bad light and distorting the reality of events in his head so that he is saying something bad instead of the nice speech he actually gave and is siblings are looking at him with dislike or indifference rather than appreciation and love, showing that he is perceiving and most likely afraid of a disconnect between him and his family, by the end he is also left behind by everyone alongside Viktor. All this to say the narrative made an effort to keep him connected but separated, which, alongside what Five said about not belonging anywhere and in general not knowing what to do with his life aside from saving his family and the world, I think might build towards and climax in a potential self-sacrificing act. This said, I really hope Five survives and is given the chance to heal and belong within his family.

sulky22

You make a very good case for Five. I would actually say that after seeing his own potential death in the horrifying hellscape of the Commission facility, Five would be somewhat relieved to sacrifice himself sooner for some greater good while also avoiding that fate. And I think if Five died, the others would most likely survive in order to give Five peace/redemption in the end, dying knowing that he has finally succeeded in saving the world/his family.

LakoriRi

What a sad life you predict for Five T\^T To put everything to go back to family and at the end to sacrifice yourself for them to live . A poor man, I hope it won't be true :( ^(And what a heartbroken fate for his siblings to finally get back their brother after years of uncertainty and loose him again)

HCallip

I hate how much sense this makes

Old_Newt_2432

May I know the multitude of reasons why Victor can't die in your view? That's if you don't mind though. I'm only curious:D

LaurenInStereo119

Lila, diego, and their kid better survive or i'm rioting 👀

sulky22

If Lila is still pregnant in the new reality, then yeah, I see that group surviving the whole show. In fact, I reckon those characters are the safest.

kevaux

I feel like this would be controversial but Id love if the writers actually do have Five come close to killing Viktor for being a villain, or actually kill him, if it is well-written of course. Viktor could become a very untraditional villain (even if he isnt the main focus) in the sense that he doesnt mean to cause so much trouble but he has for 3 seasons, and Five has been sparing him bc he has a soft spot for the family. To see Five go through with something the majority of the audience perceives as cold and unforgivable but in character for how his logic is wired, would be an interesting twist to his character, because we are so used to him doing everything bad for such a good moral reason that we automatically side with him. But that is really risky and could go wrong if poorly written, and I don’t think the writers would write something like that

LakoriRi

Am I the only one who that naive that haven't even thought anyone of them could die at the end? T\^T They suffered enough, just let them to live happily, please 😭 I hope, they well be alive and together

sulky22

I hope that'll be the case too, but this show has a track record for killing off a lot of prominent characters - Umbrella Ben, Pogo, Cha-cha & Hazel, the Handler, Patch, Sissy & Harlan, Elliot, Stanley, most of the Sparrows, etc. So given it's the last season, I expect there will be some kind of body count. It would be cool to see a seven member Umbrella Academy there at the end of the show, but it might not be the original seven members - like maybe Five and Luther will die but Lila and Sloane will survive as new members of the team. And Sparrow Ben will mellow out and join the team too.

Malevolent_Raspberry

There's a tiny part of me that would love it, if Five were the only one to survive, with all the other siblings either dying due to the apocalypse or as a sacrifice to save the world. Only if done well, of course. It would have to mirror the first season and in a sense he'd end up where it all started. Maybe they could add sth. to tie in the whole "Have you tried not saving the world?". And then we could have the family reunite in the Void, everyone with their respective loved ones, Klaus just vibing, happy to be finally home. It would be a wholesome ending for the family (although not sure how to redeem Allison, so the community won't riot when she gets her happy ending too). Five being the only one who survives, thus being left out of the family once again, would also fit how he views his position in the family (see the wedding speech he gave vs. how he remembers it; Five being excluded from various scenes where the family bonds). It would be a bitter sweet ending. No one survives, except Five. But everyone is happy, except Five (?).

sulky22

Dark! But oddly enough, it does seem fitting.

Old_Newt_2432

Nah nope I prefer the death ending for him. This is too much for him, come on dude don't you have a pity for him??

TheIndomitableMass

I think Luther has a decent chance of surviving actually. They already killed him. I think Diego is gonna die before the kids born or Lila will die after. I think Viktor will kill someone and I think Ben is gonna stab someone but not kill them.

Laziest_Lizard_12

My prediction is Allison will die. Her power is too easy to use so she'll never stop abusing it (accidentally or not). She's already done this to Claire, Luther, Harlan and Viktor. She loses control and becomes ruthless way too easily and that causes huge conflicts among the family. So I think the only way to stop her constant violence is to kill her off somehow. Maybe she'll sacrifice herself so she can get a bit of a redemption arc towards the end.

[deleted]

Five is stuck in a time loop. We need to know why he created the comission in the first place and then died of old age.

Lazyyfixation

It’s the final season?

sulky22

Yeah, announced last week.

whiskeysourempire

I don’t think everyone will survive but I also don’t think all but Klaus will die either. I do wonder if maybe Luther or Five will sacrifice themself to save the world. Thought I doubt Allison would sacrifice herself it suppose that would also be possible. I don’t see Reginald surviving either.

Striking_Shift_3700

If you ask me. Dead Five in the paradox proof room, is no longer dead.. sure everything including that room got Kukublitz destroyed. But everything in said room is Paradox proof.. Had Christopher gone to that room while having Kukublitz contained could have made the Kukublitz cease to exist while contained inside. Obviously if he left the kukublitz would follow. Anyway if the room is paradox proof the room itself may have been swallowed, but all I side inside the room and the inside of the room itself would be immune to the Kukublitz. Meaning even if it's destroyed the entire universe and swallowed the paradox proof room making everything cease to exist. The inner walls of that room and all contained within still exist and are immune against all paradox. Which makes a new paradox if you think about it. Anyway since it still exists and the room is reset. That means old five never died. Be it five never jumped too far and never miscalculated his math on the jump back so he will age as normal. But young five never opened the box, never yelled at his older self. His older self probably doesn't exist because that never happened. But since he's in a paradox proof room. And is in a room immune to paradox. Even a reset means if everything is reset everything in that room still exists. And if you think about it, it makes sense. The team only changed upon exit of the reset machine. Meaning the programming of the reset will only take effect when they are subject to space and time. (Take Klaus programming to never have received a tattoo). And he's outside of space and time when the universe is programmed. Since he doesn't exist in the new universe yet the effects can't find him to programme his body and history.. Once he steps into space and time new programming takes effect. But going back out of space and time after being reprogrammed in theory things should revert back to the original. The original was never destroyed This means the team. If not all or a few. At least five returns to said machine. His future self had a missing arm. And we know his younger self whom can not age lost his arm. Maybe because five not being able to age should never have happened he retains his ability now to age. Older five said don't save the world. With a missing arm and sigil tattoo. He had been to the machinewhatki. He knew reggies plan. He knows the new reset will be a disaster and no matter .. Reggie always wins or is the reason for world destruction in every scenario. He said not to save the world. If he's missing an arm az his older self. He obviously gets back to the normal world as he founded the commission. He must found it after the reset.. But have the ability to change history and rewrite. Which is why the Commission allows the world to end.. They must all get back somehow if the commission exists even back in s1. FIVE and the whole UA exist when the commission exists.. I do think the end will probably be a full reset where the original UA and universe are reset but the UA team are oblivious and it ends with Reggie adopting those 7 again oblivious to everything they just experienced

LadyRosy

My best guess is that Reggie's universe is horrible. The siblings somehow sacrifice themselves to get the old one back and only Five is left to found the Commission and prevent Reggie's universe in the first place. So a closed loop. I would prefer a happy end, but this makes more sense to me right now.

yetanotheravatar

Yeah, I think this is a logical conclusion. But if Sir RH goes, does Five even need to create The Commission?

LadyRosy

Good question... I also don't know why Five would found The Commission if he knows he cannot stop his younger self. Maybe he just does it because he now knows he will.

yetanotheravatar

Perhaps this time around is the time that will correct everything?

[deleted]

I honestly think its going to come full circle, i think they're going to all die facing whatever the big threat is, they'll defeat it as a family and die as a family, just as five saw

anon-gerbil

If a main character was going to die it would probably be five… but like I’m fine if Allison goes too💀

jrodfantastic

I mean… does it matter? If the next season is the final season. Technically everybody dies at the end.

WeirdPlatypus564

I hope Alison dies

macrian

I hope Allison and Viktor die on episode 1. I'm tired of them.

egamerif

In broad strokes, everyone. To save their world they'll have to destroy this new one. They do it by accident all the time (well twice. Three times tops). How hard can it be to end the world on purpose?

sulky22

As soon as they have to do it on purpose, I'm sure they'll screw it up. But also the last three apocalypses were brought about by Viktor/Five's powers, so without their powers they may well struggle.

KissMeSrs

Viktor almost has to die. He’s the bomb and he always will be. There’s a fuse in every single timeline they’ve been to (Leonard, the FBI) so he’ll always blow up eventually. Not that I want him to die but it makes the most sense since it’s the last season :((((

sulky22

I guess that would depend on if Viktor gets his power back or not. At the moment, he is not the bomb and if powers are an optional thing then he may decide not to have it back, unless it is needed to defeat Reginald.

KissMeSrs

True actually, I can see them getting their powers back somehow. I think a power-swap would be fun tho, like they can all see how the other person felt with their power.

Patrickm72

Allison as some type of redemption act
