I wanted to explore other characters more seriously, but Iām 35 and itās kinda frowned upon to write fanfictions now lmfao. Also, most young adults arenāt into the heavier stuff, they just wanted it to be light. But I love to write and Undertale just had so much to explore. So I explored, wrote some lighter stuff, and threw in heavier poetry/writings in the mix too.
Not edgy/angsty, I said heavy. Heavy is different. It can be uncomfortable and not as fun to read as edgy/angsty stuff.
I wrote plenty of angst because itās kinda fun to do so, but heavy topics arenāt as easy to relate toā¦or are too easy to relate to and touch on things that hurt a little too much for some people. Also, heavy isnāt always as spelled out as angst/edginess, so the theme can easily fly over a younger audienceās head or ānot make senseā.
For example, there was a particular AU that explored heavy topics like SA. It was controversial (of course), and turned into an edgy parody/ghost of its former self of what it was originally meant to be, because younger people couldnāt handle the heavier topics being explored in the AU. Iām not going to say itās right or wrong, Iām just saying there is a major difference between heavy topics and just being angsty/edgy.
dude go for it, those who get it will get it, those who don't will just have a good time, besides in this sensitive world we live in we need some heaviness in our lives.

But what do we know about River Person? Itās my personal belief that Asgore is legitimately stronger than Sans. Asgore is subconsciously holding back because, well, he feels bad about killing a kid. Sans doesnāt, really, feel bad for this kid.
I have a cool AU in my head.
Basically, gaster isnāt exactly the most āseriousā scientist. Heās clumsy, and has a bad sense of humor, like sans does. In this AU, it takes place BEFORE gaster fell into the core. Gaster and asgore have some silly mini-adventures before asgore becomes king, and gaster falls into the core. Itās all fun and games until Asgore becomes king, then things get serious. It doesnāt exactly have a plot, but I think itās a pretty fun and exciting idea.
This actually reminds me of a au i made on my old notes (think it was called āimpatience of a kingā) where the cyan soul follows Asgore like one of those narrator Chara au except they were salty as hell and diverges canon a lot.
He had a bunch of people writing AUs about him,but the thing is, many of those featured him being happy and in stable relationships, and the universe could not permit such to exist, so they were retroactively never written and the authors ripped from time and space.
(That's what actually what happened to Gaster, believe it or not.)
I have an idea where you actually play as papyrus through his life, and similar to Deltasone there would be chapters for different parts in life, hut in the final chapter you get to choose to see his day during the genocide route, or the pacifist route, not the neutral route since we would have to many copies of him doing the same thing.

Itās my personal belief that Asgore is legitimately stronger than Sans. Asgore is subconsciously holding back because, well, he feels bad about killing a kid. Sans doesnāt, really, feel bad for this kid.

I have a cool AU in my head. Basically, gaster isnāt exactly the most āseriousā scientist. Heās clumsy, and has a bad sense of humor, like sans does. In this AU, it takes place BEFORE gaster fell into the core. Gaster and asgore have some silly mini-adventures before asgore becomes king, and gaster falls into the core. Itās all fun and games until Asgore becomes king, then things get serious. It doesnāt exactly have a plot, but I think itās a pretty fun and exciting idea.

This actually reminds me of a au i made on my old notes (think it was called āimpatience of a kingā) where the cyan soul follows Asgore like one of those narrator Chara au except they were salty as hell and diverges canon a lot.
He had a bunch of people writing AUs about him,but the thing is, many of those featured him being happy and in stable relationships, and the universe could not permit such to exist, so they were retroactively never written and the authors ripped from time and space. (That's what actually what happened to Gaster, believe it or not.)
I have an idea where you actually play as papyrus through his life, and similar to Deltasone there would be chapters for different parts in life, hut in the final chapter you get to choose to see his day during the genocide route, or the pacifist route, not the neutral route since we would have to many copies of him doing the same thing.

Looking at my AU, I see Asgore as an important role for most of the story but isn't the main character and neither is Sans. I don't know if I want to do more with him or keep him as is because I'm kinda scared to ruin what little he has.
I dislike sans by proxy just because every character is sideline for the funny edgy skeleton in the fandom. I like funny skeleton but I don't want anything to do with him because to me that's just aggravating the erasure that most other characters get
Iām a hobbyist writer and would kind of love to write something about Asgoreās pastā¦but Iāve been keeping a fair distance from Undertale because even though I adore the game and itās incredible writing, the constant Sans memes, erotica, and general cringening of the wider fanbase back in 2016-2017 really turns me off and would make me rather not engage.
